"Vic and team arrived on time. He reviewed the work that would take place. Vic was very knowledgeable and was happy to address any concerns that I had about the installation of my ceiling fan. The work was complete timely and without a mess. I recommend Vic and team and will use them on future work."

"Melvin was fantastic. He was prompt in responding, kept me informed of his ETA, was respectful and polite. He moved his schedule around so he can put the basketball court together on the same day for my dad. My mom just passed away and my dad needs to be kept busy or he falls apart. My dad has enjoyed playing this for hours at a time ever since."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Scheduled cleanings and mindful operation habits prevent blockage growth, contributing to efficient smoke release and space heating enjoyment.

The short answer is yes, but the longer answer is more complex. Unless the fireplace is ventless by design, you’ll need some type of exhaust pipe system to safely send fumes and other harmful byproducts out of the house. Even then, ventless fireplaces are not always permitted because they do keep the byproducts inside of your house. Ventless fireplaces are safest when installed in spaces that are themselves well-ventilated, like large rooms with lots of windows.

Shiplap can be safe for a gas fireplace, but you should consult with a fireplace installation pro before proceeding. You need to make sure your project meets building and safety codes since shiplap is made from flammable wood. You may need to install another non-combustible material, like stone or brick, around the fireplace for a certain amount of space before you can add shiplap.

Yes. Not only do gas stoves present the risk of a gas leak, but cooking with gas produces twice as much harmful particulate matter. According to Columbia University’s Climate School, gas stoves can also release formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen, and carbon monoxide, which can be toxic in high concentrations.

A hot fire alone will not remove significant creosote buildup and can be dangerous, as it risks causing a chimney fire. While the warmth from a fire can help loosen stuck tar, making treatments like creosote logs more effective, it is not a substitute for proper cleaning. For existing creosote, the safest and most effective method is to have your chimney professionally cleaned by a chimney sweep.
