"I initially called another highly rated plumber listed on Angi (in addition to issues with water heater, I had a kitchen sink faucet to install and clogged drain). When the plumber arrived, he looked things over and said they get an estimate to me later in the day (they had no intention of performing any work during this visit even though I had asked when making the appointment). That was all I needed to hear and immediately called. I spoke with an associate by the name of Billy and he could not have been any nicer and was very knowledgeable. Billy took the time to ask specific questions and had me flip breaker switches so that he had have some basic diagnostics to include in the service call. Kevin was the tech who came out and again, I cannot be complementary enough. He was nice, knowledgeable and explained everything after he did a thorough diagnostic. Long story short, the issue was the power coming into the unit, but he didn't stop there. He investigated the issue further and found there had been a "fire/explosion" of sorts where the wiring was connected to the top of unit. He removed the damaged wiring and reconnected the water heater and it's working beautifully! Kevin gave me a full cost breakdown of a new unit just in case I run into another issue (my unit is about 6 years old).
