Small jobs welcome

"Since I couldn’t upload before and after picture. The project was a detailed and tedious restoration of my vintage used brick patio that my gardener over power washed it destroying its appearance and its mortar.,”. The project was magnificent and difficult and I am extremely impressed by the dedication and workmanship. I wish you could see the pics"

"We want to thank you for the fantastic job you did remodeling our master bathroom these past three weeks. Considering all of the work that was required we couldn't believe that it could be done so quickly. But it was! Your team was absolutely amazing from the very first time they showed up through the last minute they were here. Always on time and ready to dig in every day. Their skill, experience and coordination between themselves and with us made for a smooth and efficient process. They were professional and courteous each and every day and kept the work-site clean and hazard free. We really appreciate their concern and efforts to make us 100% happy and would be pleased to recommend them and Dream Home Works to our friends, neighbors and family. Again, we sincerely thank you for a job well done!"

"Eddie did a spectacular job. I could not be happier with my decision to use Marble and Granite Services. Eddie came by to give the quote and made some fantastic recommendations. We changed the slab we had and could not be more happy. I wish I had know about these guys years ago. DO NOT HESITATE to call them. They were also significantly cheaper than the store installer who did lesser quality work for me previously."

"Fernando and his team salvaged a very poor tile installation. They basically saved my bathroom (and made my kitchen backsplash amazing). Fernando was clear and effectively communicated. And his team was incredibly professional and efficient. I would/will hire them again."

"I couldnâ t recommend Joe highly enough. After having a bit of a nightmare with a previous contractor we decided to rip out all the marble wall and floor tile that they had installed in our bathroom. We then got three bids, two from big companies and one from Joe, to see how much it would cost to do it properly! They all quoted around the same price but Joe was the only one who made us feel like he really understood what we wanted and didnâ t make us feel like he would be doing us a favour by taking the job. Choosing him was the best decision we made during our entire remodelling experience. The quality of his work is second to none. Iâ m somebody that stands and stares at a job once a contractor has finished it and quickly starts noticing the mistakes they made or where they have rushed or not taken enough care. I honestly canâ t find fault in Joeâ s work. After getting to know him a little bit while he was doing the job I know this is because he takes real pride in his work. He told me that certain parts of the job were keeping him up at night while he tried to work out how best to do it so that the result would be something he would be happy to show us. I would (and probably will very soon) use Joe again"

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

You can resurface existing countertops as long as they’re not significantly damaged. Of course, it does depend on the material. Wood, natural stone, quartz, and even laminate are all good candidates for resurfacing. If you have tile, you may want to just replace the damaged tiles rather than resurface the entire countertop.

Silestone® is a low-maintenance countertop material, but certain things, like strong chemicals and solvents, can cause damage. Abrasive scrubs can cause scratches, and products that contain oil or powder can leave a residue. Finally, avoid letting oven cleaner come into contact with Silestone® because it can cause discoloration.

Quartz countertops are known for their durability, but they aren’t indestructible. Quartz countertops can crack under extreme pressure, like when experiencing a heavy impact. The same can happen with regular exposure to high temperatures. Finally, improper installation makes the quartz more vulnerable.

Engineered stone is nonporous, unlike natural stone, and does not need to be sealed. You do not have to worry about etching or bacterial growth. It is more durable than natural stone and concrete, as well as highly heat resistant. Engineered stone is easy to clean and maintain. You can wipe it down with warm water and soap. Use a non-scratch scrub pad for stains and avoid any harsh cleaners. Engineered stone can even be eco-friendly, with some manufacturers using waste byproducts or organic resins.

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.
