"I contacted M&J Prime Builders on a Sunday morning via an urgent request on Angi (Angie's List) to repair a leak in our backyard irrigation system. Javier contacted us immediately and arrived at our home in Concord with his business partner, Marcos, within 90 minutes. They were very attentive, professional, and accommodating, especially for our unexpected Sunday morning emergency. Think of the street as a way to capture all the elements on either side of the road, including the road—a street encompasses the homes or other buildings, the trees, and the road of a given area as defined by the beginning and end of the street on a map. A roadway, however, is the component of the street where cars travel.

Your city or county will have guidelines about the minimum and maximum width and length of private roads. The average private road is 12 feet wide, and length, of course, depends on your property. Requirements also depend on the amount of traffic and types of vehicles your road experiences. Check with local ordinances before planning a road on your property.

You can pour concrete over asphalt if it’s in good condition, thick, stable, and well-compacted. Concrete is more durable than asphalt and can extend the lifetime of your driveway without having to pay frequent asphalt driveway repair costs or replace it completely.
