"I'm satisfied with the work done but do feel the price was a bit on the high side. The only thing I regret was that we had a miscommunication on the tv installation part. I misunderstood and thought they could help with actually putting my stereo system together with TV, dvd player. Apparently, they meant only that they can put away the wires through the wall if the wires were preset/prehooked already on the back of the systems (I just moved into a new home and they were all disconnected).  I should have clarified that with Jim on the day he came to do the estimate because I thought it was a great deal compared to geek squad (the quote I was given) for the tv installation part.

"• Adam of Cal Electrical called and will be doing a job walk through on Sunday then emailing an invoice. • Provide power to A/C in bedroom • Adam came over and did a walk-through and will send over an estimate today, Monday, 6-6-16 • The estimate came through under $400 so I sent an email to have him come over and get started on the bedroom A/C electrical. • I need to order an A/C unit that will fit the window ASAP, like now. • Just ordered an A/C unit from amazon, it should be here in two days. • Adam will start work on Saturday, June 11, 2016 around 7:00 am. • I added a change-order to have him also install an outside all weather plug in the same location as the inside plug but on the outside. • Adam and Isaiah showed up at 6:45 and waited at the bottom of the driveway until 7:00 to drive up and start work. • Adam and Isaiah will also fill his truck up with the old desk and whatever else they can fit and haul it off for us. • Good customer relations, they respond to questions before, after and during project. They understand what it is you want done the first time around. They will offer ideas on better ways of doing the job so you get a great job and sometimes can cut your cost down. If there is a better/cheaper way to get the job done they will let you know. They finished in about four hours. Very Happy."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should not put a TV on a fireplace mantel. The minimum width required to put a TV safely on a shelf or mantel is 10 inches, but pre-made mantels are usually too shallow, averaging at only seven inches deep. If you do choose to place a TV above a mantel, it should be mounted to the wall. However, do so cautiously as heat radiating from the fireplace could potentially cause damage to electronics.

If you want to enjoy your favorite movies from the comfort of your backyard or patio, you can mount a TV outside. You’ll want to be thoughtful about its location, ensuring it’s away from water and heat, like a grill or pool. Placing it under a roof, awning, or gazebo is usually a good idea as well for extra protection. Outdoor wiring does add an extra layer of complications with this project, so it may be worth it to hire an electrician to help.

Professionals can provide alternatives, like using stands or no-drill mounts where applicable.

Hiring a pro ensures safe, secure installation, preventing damage to walls and TVs.

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.
