"Lamberto and his crew are amazing. I highly recommend their service. Licensed and insured. I recently had 7 large Sequoia Redwoods removed from my house. What an efficient crew and great equipment. They didn't break a thing even though they were working near the pool, the fence and the house. Amazing, and all that with a great price."

"I needed a variety of yard jobs done around my home. A friend recommended Imagine Tree Service. The owner, David, came to my home the day after I called and gave me a fair estimate for the numerous chores I needed done, including the removal of multiple trees, tree and oleander bush trimming, and removing scrap wood from the property. The courteous and professional crew arrived the morning after the estimate was provided and followed all my instructions to the letter. They performed the work expertly and efficiently, and cleaned up thoroughly. I am completely satisfied and pleased with the results. I have worked with several different tree services over the years and Imagine Tree Service provided the best experience of them all."

"The crew from jet tree service was well organized efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. They did a fantastic job removing two trees from my yard that had died, chipped the branches and put the chips in an area I wanted the chips. They swept up the debris, blowed it into an area where it wouldnâ t be in my flowerbeds, and. took the remaining large branches in the trunk of the tree away with them. They arrived a few minutes early, and weâ re done with the project in just a bit over an hour. I will definitely recommend them to any of my friends and I am thinking of having them come and remove two trees in my backyard. I like working with people that are organized"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you’re buying a small tree with lots of room to grow, expect to pay around $100 to $200 for a potted version. But if you’re buying a larger tree—say one over 10 feet—prices rise, starting in the $500 to $600 range and increasing quickly from there. Keep in mind that paying for professional palm tree planting or transplanting services will increase the cost.

The Christmas tree type that smells the best to you will ultimately depend on personal preference. But if that classic Christmas tree smell is important to you, choosing a type of tree known for its scent is a safe bet. Try a balsam fir for a spicy, comforting scent or a Douglas fir for a sweeter smell. You may also like Fraser firs, Scotch pines, and blue spruces.

Leaving the tree stump and letting it rot is never a good idea, as this leads to insect infestations and other frustrations. Additionally, decomposing trunks are at risk for diseases that spread out to the remaining plants and trees in the yard, thus ruining your whole outdoor aesthetic. It's usually best to remove the stump at the same time you remove the tree.

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.

It takes anywhere from three to seven years for a stump to decompose on its own. This timeframe can depend on the kind of tree and your climate. The lower to the ground the stump is, the faster it rots. If you kill a tree stump with salt, boiling water, herbicide, light deprivation, or burning, the tree stump decomposes faster.
