Central Valley Humble Tree Care

Everything went great. Hoss does very detailed work, and has the right equipment to do the job right. Unfortunately he was cleaning up a messy, incomplete chop-job done by a previous tree service company from about 6-12 months ago, but the finished result was amazing. It looks like a new tree, with plenty of room inside and good overall shape, especially considering what he was left to work with. It looks great and I'm very happy with the work. They also provide full clean up and haul everything away when done. It's clear that Hoss cares about trees and taking care of them properly, and he takes pride in his work. I recommend his services, and would hire him again.

I hired Hoss Troup last August to take care of a broken branch and trim all my back yard trees. At the time, I was very pleased with the work performed, but he promised to return in late winter to follow up and prune one last tree which never happened. Since the work on my 2 large Liquid Amber trees took less time and effort than he anticipated, instead of dropping the $3000 quoted price (the price also included trimming the other trees in my back yard in addition to the large trees), Hoss said he would return in January to prune my apple tree, after it's growing season ended. Well the rain prevented his return, then as Spring came, he said he'd return in the fall.... leading us back to the current issue - the tree should not be pruned during it's growing season. I suggested he cut the mistletoe out of my side trees and we'd call it even. He said he'd look at them and let me know. I've yet to hear back from him. This exchange of texts has gone on since January regarding this promised follow up work. I've given up on ever seeing him finish this work. I was very impressed last year, but felt that the cost was very high, but felt that I could trust his promise to return... I guess not.

He came to the house, told me what he would do, why he would do it, how long it would take and his price. He was friendly, professional, and courteous.  He showed up on the agreed upon date  and time.  When he was finished, he cleaned up completely and recommended why followup trimmings of the trees was a good idea.  I will use his services again without a doubt.

He was very prompt in his reply. He was here exactly when he said he'd be. His price was fair. He did an excellent job with the tree. Quality is definitely an A. I would definitely use Central Valley Humble Tree Care again.

I bought my 122 year old house in April and in August a branch broke from one of the huge Liquid Amber trees on the side and f the house. It was hanging between the tree & the edge on my roof luckily did not break the window below. Even though it was after 7pm, I called several tree services from the Angie's List search and Hoss with Central Valley Humble Tree Care returned my call within 15 minutes. He asked for a few pictures and arranged to stop by to see the tree, the branch, and house. He explained how he would have to tie the branch to the roof to safely cut and remove it from the tree and roof. Since it was stable, he returned in a couple days and safely removed the broken branch and cut out some of the other dead branches and cleaned up in just over an hour. Hoss also took the time to discuss the condition of all of my trees, so I hired Central Valley Humble Tree Care to come back to trim and prune all the trees in my back yard. It took only 2 days for Hoss and his helper to clean up 9 of my trees which range from 15 years old to 100+ years old and he came a third day to treat the soil and add a nice root cover to my old Japanese Cherry tree which had severe damage from the sun and ants. I'm confident that this 100+ year old tree has more years left now that it was treated with such care. I am very pleased with the efficient, expert work done in my yard. All of my trees look healthier and happy after Hoss cleaned them up. I plan to have him work on my giant old Magnolia trees and other trees in my front yard next year! And will continue to hire Central Valley Humble Tree Care for regular maintenance of my trees as long as I live here.

Just bought this house.  There was a very large 40 year old pine tree 12 inches from the side of the house.  It was in a very difficult area being so close to the house and fence. This tree was also impacting the neighbor's house.   Hoss removed the tree over a period of a few days (inclement weather was the cause of the delay) with no property damage and ground out the stump.  This tree was enormous.  Once the tree was down it was discovered it was rotted at the base and would have fallen within the year.  I also had him remove two other pine trees and grind out the stumps.  There is a very large Elm tree in the front that was hanging over the house.  He trimmed back the tree and cleaned up the branches.  Everything was done professionally, quickly and neatly.  At the end of each day the property was cleaned.  Branches were ground up into mulch, all debris removed.  Great job.  The price was perfect.  He will be coming back in March to remove five more trees and trim up two more Elms trees.  Highly recommend this company.  I will be using this company to maintain all the trees on this property.
