"It went well, there were two employees who figured out a way to get it done. I consulted with two other companies and they wanted to replace the entire sink and repipe. Superior figured out a way to get it done without having to do construction or replace the sink for now."

"Leak appeared under sink, husband tried to "fix", leaks multiplied by end of the week. Called Larry Friday night, left msg asking when he might be available, he called early Saturday and offered to come between 5-6 p.m. Very professional, very personable, tracked the problem to the faucet - when he easily could have let it be several things under the sink. I would hire Larry again without hesitation. With a 46 year old house, you need someone trustworthy and responsive - and Larry is definitely that."

"Called to have kitchen sink faucet replaced. Faucet installed quick with friendly professional service. Before leaving I asked Taylor if he would look at a leak I had in front flower bed. He said sure no problem. He found that the main water line had a leak and water was flowing freely. He advised us of the severity of the leak and presented two options for repair. We opted to go with the complete replacement. Taylor then made a call and was quickly joined by Adam. They both got to work around mid afternoon and had the new water line replaced from the water main up to the house with new house shut off values and irrigation lines installed by staying on the job till around 8 PM, so that we would have water with no inconvenience. I would highly recommend Dependable Rooter and Plumbing!!! Very professional, friendly quick service. Techs very knowledgeable and willing to help. Job performed as promised and price quoted. Thank you Taylor and Adam!"

"During my kitchen remodeling we discovered that there was a mold behind kitchen cabinets. I called several companies which recommended a hygienist to come in and do the mold tests.  However, since the mold was visible I needed the company which actually provides immediate remediation.  When I called Water Damage Recovery Inc. they were able to schedule for project manager (Joshua) to come in onsite the very next morning.  After Joshua came to my house, he quickly and correctly diagnosed extent of the damage and suggested remediation steps and personally told me (and helped me) step by step on what needs to be disconnected so that countertops can easily be removed without damage when his service crew would come in and do remediation.
He was able to schedule his crew the very next day (which was important for me - since I had remodeling schedule in progress)  and they came in and removed cabinets (without damaging them) and drywall, and treated the floors and walls to get rid of all the mold.  The remediation process was quick and painless for me.  This company does not do re-installation of drywall/cabinets itself - but they partner and refer you to construction companies which specialize in putting your pieces back together.  Have an appointment scheduled with one such company Monday...

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

A handyperson with basic plumbing experience can install a bathroom faucet, like the kind of skills you’d need to replace a P-trap or swap out a showerhead. They may not have deep knowledge of local plumbing code, though. If your faucet installation requires work on the pipes behind the wall or under the floor, hire a licensed plumber with the necessary training and licensing.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.

No, you don’t need to use plumber’s putty to install a sink drain. Other options are available, such as silicone putty or silicone caulk. Plumber’s putty is the traditional method and it’s easier to work with and easier to remove. It doesn’t need to dry before using. Silicone putty should dry before you use the drain.

Read reviews and grades on Roto-Rooter specialists in your area online. Their website also lists all the professionals in your area by state. Sites like Angi can help connect you with local plumbing professionals, which may include Roto-Rooter.

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.
