The pressure regulator for the house could not be adjusted and had to be replaced. We had 95 pounds pressure (city) and it could not be turned it down. It took a few days for Armstrong to order the replacement and Peter quickly installed a new regulator and adjusted the pressure to 50 psi, a more comfortable and safe level (see next paragraph for a caveat). He suggested better shower heads, had a couple on his truck and these were also replaced. However, when Peter came to install the new regulator, I was closely watching the process. After installing the new regulator, he mentioned that he could not turn down the water pressure. I thought that a bit strange (it was a new regulator) and I had a look at the procedure. I noticed that the meter read about 85 psi and would not go down whenever the regulator screw was driven in. I suggested a solution - the problem was that you can turn the regulator's adjustment screw to increase the house pressure when all valves/faucets are closed (no water is running), however, to decrease the pressure in a closed system (all valves/faucets are off), you need to relieve the pressure by running water for a short time somewhere. I explained this situation (I'm a scientist/engineer) and we fixed the situation as follows: The regulator adjustment was set to very low pressure (screw turned quite far in), then a faucet briefly opened which relieved the house pressure -- we noted that the pressure became very low (e.g., 25 psi). Then the water was turned off, and the regulator was adjusted to increase the pressure to an optimum, safe value (we chose 48 psi). I was surprised that a plumber wasn't aware of this procedure. Quite possibly, the old regulator worked well and pressure-release process not done - hence it could not be turned down (hence, I may not have needed a new regulator). In conclusion, all work went well, and the results were perfect. Armstrong was a bit pricy - the install of the new regulator took about 1/2 hour. I think they built in the possibility of encountering problems into the estimate and stuck with the estimate even though everything went smoothly. On the positive side, no leaks, no callbacks to date. I'm in the process of writing a warning for our local newspaper (Sun City) about such potential house water regulator overcharges. For starters, they came in with the lowest bid of the five (highly rated by Angie and Yelp) firms that I had asked to bid our move. The highest was $7300 (!) and Moovers was one of only two whose bid was a "not to exceed" figure. Their bid was $1900 for the loading, moving and unloading, figuring a maximum 10 hours time, including trucks, gas, etc. The second part of the bid was to pack the house, and this was the most amazing part of it! This was 7 weeks before the move was to take place and we had barely done the least bit of packing and moving. (Our new home was empty and most weeks we made a trip up there, filling the car each time.) Anthony carefully went thru the condo with me and came up with a bid--$1150 to pack the entire house as it stood back then. So the total price for packing everything and moving it was not to exceed $3050, total! Anthony said we could go off to Italy for 6 weeks and all would be done by them! We didn't go anywhere of course, but it instantly changed our thinking about the move. Instead of packing the whole house, we decided our time would be better spent concentrating on: Sorting, Organizing, Consolidating, Donating, Giving to our kids and Tossing stuff. Our previous several moves brought along all manner of old, unnecessary stuff such as tax returns going back into the '70's along with all the support docs, cancelled checks, etc. Yuck! So we cleaned house, and will benefit ever after from our more streamlined belongings. Along the way, we'd acquired all the boxes (except for the wardrobe boxes, which they provided) we would need, including scored of boxes we got from our tenants who had vacated our destination home. We brought them back on the return trips from the property. We hauled 8 solid-packed bankers boxes to the shredders! I have a large (500 bottle) wine collection and had about 12 wine cases, which I'd filled and taken back an forth on our trips. After that, we filled them with glassware and other smaller fragile things. They weigh almost nothing and didn't need the wrapping that the movers would have to do, saving time and money. I broke one wine glass. When all was said and done, we'd packed the majority of the house, incuding emptying and sorting all the drawers in the house. Here's where it gets really good. The bid was for 4 men and two trucks. On the appointed day, Tim showed up (on time) with 4 other men--he had brought along his 20ish year old son, who worked right along with them. When he saw that we had all the needed boxes and had packed so much, he said they would just charge us for the total time the move took, which would include the time spent packing. And they started right into both packing and loading at the same time. That part of the process took something over 4 hours. And off they went. At the other end all was promptly unloaded. Our "sleep number" king bed, with motors that raise and lower the head or foot, had been disassembled and then re-assembled, etc. They even moved a heavy sofa bed (which we'd already gotten there and were using in the master bedroom when staying over) to the spare room. It all went without a hitch. Nothing broken, nothing evem scratched that I could see. It was done; we were there! I paid them (and included a well-deserved $200 tip which they split equally) Total time: 10 hours. Total price: $1900, plus tip! Amazing. I would still recommend getting competitive bids, but I can't imagine ever using anyone but Moovers Inc. again! 6 stars on a scale of 5"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ca/pittsburg/moovers-inc-reviews-420249.htm"},"position":3},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"CA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Debra F."},"reviewBody":"I used the Real Deal to have Valley come out to replace 3 chandeliers. The worker was on time and very focused on doing a good job. I had told them when I make the appointment that a tall ladder would be needed as I have vaulted ceilings at the entrance and the stairway. The worker knew how to remove the chandeliers and how to assemble the replacement units. He helped to ensure the chandeliers were the correct chain length and made adjustments to ensure that the chairs carried the weight and not the wire.
I asked a lot of questions about wiring, dimmers, CFL light bulbs, etc., and each question received an experienced answer.

FAQs for grill assembly projects in Lincoln, CA
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.
If your grill is relatively new or under warranty, it’s worth fixing. If the warranty has run out, find the cost of parts (usually a burner or grate that’s rusted out). If the parts cost more than half the price of a new grill, it’s worth buying a new one.
However, if your gas grill is a built-in unit as part of an outdoor kitchen, contact the grill manufacturer or distributor to check on warranty coverage. You should also contact a local gas grill repair technician to get an estimate for repairs or a price to replace your built-in grill.
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. Most grill manufacturers offer an extended warranty, varying in coverage and terms. You can help extend the life of your grill by cleaning it inside and out to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits. Protect your gas grill from the elements with a grill cover to prevent it from rusting, lessening the frequency of repairs.
