"Matt came to inspect our roof and found another tile that needed to be replaced in addition to the 2 that were already broken. He came the next day to do the job. In addition to replacing the tiles, he fixed other tiles that were previously repaired by another company. He was efficient and did an awesome job. Reasonable price and would use him again for any future jobs."

"These guys are fantastic -- they were in and out in 45 minutes, and made no mess whatsoever. They showed up a few minutes early.  Very pleasant, easy to work with.   In addition, despite that they told me that they do not repair plaster or stucco, there was nothing to repair.  I would definitely hire them again.

"We are still talking with them and there is a possibility we will do it, but we just haven't done it yet. They were going to put it on our roof for no upfront cost, which was great. We would be leasing it then paying them for our power instead of the power company which was a much lower rate. It was a good deal, we kind of wanted to do it but the timing was terrible and it didn't work out for us. I last spoke to them before Christmas, but they said they would still honor the estimate of no upfront cost. What they are doing is using our roof space to generate power. They'd charge us for the power we use, but anything we don't use it goes back into the grid. I'm not sure how it works. It sounded like a good deal. The roof needed some repairs and we had some other financial things going on. They've been really good to work with. They are there when they say they will show up to talk to you, look at your roof, meet with you and give you the estimate. My husband has lots of questions and they were really good about answering all them. He was really satisfied. We are going to follow up with them."

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

You can skim coat plaster, but it’s better to repair the plaster itself. A skim coat is a thin coat of drywall joint compound spread over the surface of a wall. The result is a flat finish that looks pleasing, but part of the appeal of plaster is its imperfections and aesthetic. Skim coating is best when limited to drywall applications.

It is possible to apply plaster on the interior or exterior of your home, but we don’t recommend it. Plaster is easy to apply in theory, but in reality, it can be a challenging material to work with, and it’s difficult to get the finished product to look clean, even, and smooth. Many DIYers end up calling in a professional afterward to touch up the area or even redo it entirely because of mistakes they made in the process. Hiring a plaster pro will cost more, but it’s usually the best option to achieve high-quality results.

Venetian plaster is a highly durable wall finish that becomes a rock-like substance once dried, making it last longer than most other wall finishes. Its lifespan can range from decades to centuries, potentially lasting a lifetime. Key factors influencing its longevity include the quality of the initial application, whether it's properly sealed against moisture, and how the wall is maintained and treated (e.g., how often it is touched or bumped). Due to its mineral content, it can also develop a patina over time.

On average, repairing a ceiling costs anywhere from $450 to $1,750. However, there are many variables that can impact the price of this project. For example, the type of ceiling material, type and extent of the damage, and local labor rates all affect your costs. Holes and cracks are less expensive to fix, while structural issues and water damage are pricier problems.

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.
