"Craig and his team did a fantastic job in painting the interior of our home. I was impressed by the quality of the work and by the specific quality control Craig exhibited in his communications to his men. The team worked hard, did not dally at all, and had fun which is a testament to their working relationship with Craig. I would definitely hire C & D Painting again for my next Painting project!"

"Was Referred to Color Craft by a friend.  Brett came out and looked at my home.  He looked at my home and gave me a very fair estimate.  His workers were very good about prepping the surfaces before painting.  The finished product looks great, we are very pleased.  Brett was very good about answering question throughout the entire project.  We would refer Color Craft to all our friends."

"Inland Paint Pros did an amazing job on painting our house! Ivan and his team were professional and the quality of their work was exceptional. They were very detailed and came up with suggestions that we did not think of. The clean up when the job was done was great! Thanks to Inland Paint Pros, we are very proud of our house and it stands out from the others in our neighborhood. We highly recommend them!"

"Sanchez Painting did some work for us a couple of years ago. We liked their work back then and made a point of keeping their information in case we needed them in the future. Now that we are anticipating selling our house, we called them to paint the exterior of the home. From that first call to completion of the job, they were responsive, on time, and professional. I like that they trenched around the house and painted it below the dirt. The house looks great. They didn't skip corners and did exactly what they said they would."

"There are always businesses that stand out from the rest, and that describes Foothill Painting very well. After seeing their excellent work on a neighbor's home, as well as other positive reviews on Angie's List we contacted them for a complete repainting of our house, including a detached three car garage and some interior walls and trim. From the very first meeting with Kevin, one of the co-owners, we knew we were in good hands. All their crew members are regular employees, not sub-contractors. One painter told us that he has been with Foothill for eleven years. The estimate was detailed and professional. They not only painted... They also did quite a bit of stucco and window glazing repair. The prep work was meticulous. What we appreciated the most was their attitude that they would do whatever it took to make sure we were satisfied. Too bad so many businesses don't understand the value of that! Also, they were very careful when moving things out of the way and the cleanup was great. We're sure that there are some other painters who would have submitted a lower bid but, as always, you really do get what you pay for. We feel that we chose the best, and they didn't break our bank."

"In 2010, my wife and I wanted the outside of our house painted. We received several estimates and were about to make a decision when we talked to a realtor neighbor of ours. Our neighbor suggested we call the painter (INSCO) listed on his resource guide. ANDREW (owner of Insco) came out as scheduled and quickly gave us an estimate. His was far better (by almost half) than the others for the same service. We decided to go with Insco and the job was done in about a week as expected. We were happy with the results.
In May of 2014, we wanted to have the interior of our house painted. We obtained a few estimates before calling Andrew. Once again, Andrew's estimate was much better than the others, by almost half. It was an easy decision to go with Insco. The time-frame was about a week. It took six days for the crew of three painters. The paint job looks great. There were a few issues, such as the masking with tape and plastic missed a few areas, resulting in the residue from the spray painting of the ceiling to get everywhere. The spray caused a white mist that was not easily wiped off surfaces. Andrew told us spraying the ceilings was faster and would provide a smoother finish compared to using rollers. He was right, but we wish the masking was done more thoroughly. Even not taping off the bottom of the kitchen pocket door caused the entire kitchen to be covered with a film of white residue. Another problem from the ceiling spray were the window screens. The windows were left opened for air circulation during the painting. This resulted in the screens being covered with a film of white spray paint. In some cases, the windows were half open, so the paint marks were on half of the screen. If the plastic masking came off, whatever was still in place, left a paint mark in that same shape/size. I mentioned it to the painters and they tried to scrub each screen with soapy water and brushes. The screens came out better, but only about 75% cleaner.
If more exact precautions/preparations were taken, the experience would have gone much smoother. All in all, the paint job looks great and we would recommend Insco and use them again in the future.

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Professional painters often use a Turpentine-based solution to remove paint, since it can remove oil-based paint as well as acrylics and varnishes. It’s also an organic material derived from tree resin, so it’s less toxic than traditional paint strippers. Consult a professional cabinet refinisher or painter about the best materials to use for paint stripping.

Costs range from $2 to $7 per square foot, depending on surface type, paint layers, and removal method.

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.

Professionals handle heavy lifting, proper disposal, and recycling, reducing environmental impact.

Numerous primers on the market will do the job of covering peeling paint. The best primers for peeling paint are bonding or adhesive primers that essentially glue the edges of peeling paint back to the subsurface while providing a smooth, even surface for the new paint coat.
