"They provided excellent service and was very professional and quick. I am so pleased with the outcome. My yard is beautiful. All the neighbors are envious. They came back with a quote that be out all the other landscapers and were very nice to work with. Five stars across the board."

"Great experience from day one. What started as a new patio turned in to the backyard of our dreams !! Jimmy is super easy to work with & has a great crew. We trusted them all & couldn't have asked for a harder working crew. The more we got to know jimmy the more we were comfortable adding more to our budget. He really has a great vision in explaining what he can do & turning our ideas into reality. We had no intention of spending this much initially, now we feel our backyard is worth more than we could have ever imagined !! The WOW factor from before & after is truly amazing !! To top it all off we're using jimmys brother Rick of pacific construction services to finish it all off with a patio cover, 12ft by 24ft pool room ( which jimmy also poured & I didn't list above) and a built in BBQ. Valley Concrete gets my highest recommendation for just a super job.

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

If you’re looking for a similar, eco-friendly driveway material, you might consider one of these options:

  • Permeable pavement: This material is sometimes called “pervious” or “porous” pavement; it allows stormwater to drain into the subbase, eliminating storm drain costs.

  • Gravel: Consider paving your driveway with locally sourced gravel. By sourcing from a nearby source, your money won’t fund international shipping and will be invested back into your local community.

  • Natural stone pavers: Because natural stone pavers are made from organically-produced stone, there’s no new manufacturing required, limiting the environmental impact. In addition, water easily flows and drains through the gaps in the pavers.

Asphalt is not a type of concrete. While both are a common type of pavement, asphalt is composed of aggregates (like sand and gravel) and bitumen; concrete is a mixture of cement, aggregates, and water. Here are some of the key differences between asphalt and concrete driveways.

Professionals ensure a solid base and smooth finish, enhancing durability and appearance.

Sometimes, when people talk about asphalt driveways, they’re actually referring to asphalt concrete, which is a completely different compound. Asphalt concrete is asphaltic cement combined with sand or grit. It is significantly more lasting and durable than regular asphalt but also much more expensive. If you’re considering using asphalt concrete, ask an asphalt company for their expert opinions.

Your city or county will have guidelines about the minimum and maximum width and length of private roads. The average private road is 12 feet wide, and length, of course, depends on your property. Requirements also depend on the amount of traffic and types of vehicles your road experiences. Check with local ordinances before planning a road on your property.
