Joe Torres Landscaping is a business started by Joe Torres Sr over 40yrs ago. Joe Torres Sr has been working with commercial and residential landscape design in all of greater Los Angeles. Joe Torres Jr came on after receiving his C-27 Landscaping license, & General B license. Joe Jr converted the Landscaping business into Jt. Torres Construction Development, a full construction business to meet every need on a project. Whether the work on a project is needed for interior or exterior, Joe and His crew are more than capable to meet any expectations.

"I’m reluctantly writing this review. Joe and his team installed a fence on our residential property not quite four years ago at a cost of $30,000.00. I was initially disappointed with the planning and execution of the fence. The staggering of the panels on the property grade was erratic and haphazard. The height of the fence along the grade varies significantly from panel to panel. Over time, parts of the fence have come loose and have fallen off. The fence currently leans and panels are skewed. One portion of the fence, about four panels, was so significantly compromised I asked Joe to look into repairing it, he responded that repair would cost $2,000.00. I declined having him do the repair. Joe is a nice guy and responsive. And as I mentioned, I reluctantly write this, but I do want to warn any future customers of Joe that you may not be pleased with the work."

If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area. Asphalt, which is stone mixed with tar, is the most common material for outdoor basketball courts because it’s so sturdy and versatile. However, you don't have to use it: another option is polymeric rubber, which has shock pads that can prevent injury. This option is a little more expensive, ranging between $16 and $25 per square foot.

Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.

The average lifespan of an asphalt driveway ranges from 15 to 30 years, while concrete driveways last between 20 and 30 years, depending on several factors. Extreme temperature changes, cold weather, poor maintenance, and heavy traffic can all shorten the lifespan of your driveway. Be sure to reseal your driveway regularly to protect it from the elements and give it the best chance at a long lifespan.

The cost to replace a driveway ranges from $8 to $15 per square foot, depending on factors that include material, size, and labor. If your driveway has deep cracks, potholes, or drainage issues (or if it’s simply past its prime), replacement might be the smarter investment over constant repairs. Plus, paving over a cracked driveway only extends the lifetime by about 10 years, whereas replacing it would start the clock over completely to give you up to 30 years.
