"I am very pleased with the back-yard patio Conrad and his crew installed. Cost was very competitive. Timeline for project was very close to original estimate. Conrad was very helpful in helping us make final design decisions, especially on picking the paver block style and color. He also promptly addressed all of me concerns, even though they were mostly minor. His crew also worked with me to get the final outline of the patio, with many curves. Del Mar Landscaping is definitely on the top of my list for any future landscaping work."

"Chris contacted me in minutes after providing a summary of what I needed to fix. He came out the same day to survey what I had to get done. He let me know what the cost would be and that he needed to order a new control box. He returned the next morning to install the new control box and fixed all my sprinkler lines to function properly. My sprinklers had not worked in 6 years. I am so happy!! He also notice that due to the lack of watering I had developed much weeds in the yard, both front and back. He treated the yard with weed killer and plans to come back next week to do 1 more treatment. BEST RESPONSE AND SERVICE EVER! Thank you Chris"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

No, it’s not necessary to remove all the leaves from your lawn—in fact, leaving some behind can be beneficial. While it's important to clear thick layers of leaves that can smother your grass, leaving a light scattering of leaves can help feed your soil while also providing safe winter habitat for pollinators like bumble bees. Leftover leaves will eventually break down, enriching the soil and promoting healthy lawn growth.

There are tools known as “sprinkler donuts” that are specially designed to aid in cutting the grass around your sprinkler heads by protecting them from your mower or weed whacker. You can also use a pair of hand shears to do the job manually if you’re willing to get a little dirty.

Most junk removal services don’t take hazardous materials, including paint, gasoline, bleach, and other chemicals. When gathering quotes, ask the company about its specific restrictions.

No. Unfortunately, leaf removal is your responsibility, no matter what tree the leaves come from. It would be pretty hard to regulate leaves since they can be moved by the wind or water. Imagine the detective skills it would take to determine which tree each leaf came from and who was then liable for removing it. Instead, plan to remove any leaves on your property.

Water regularly, avoid heavy foot traffic, and clear debris promptly to support lawn health.
