  • Use a moss remover that’s compatible with metal roofing, following the manufacturer’s directions

  • Remove dead moss and rinse the roof thoroughly

  • Prevent future moss growth by trimming branches, cleaning gutters, and attaching zinc strips to moss-prone areas

A metal roof will last for an average of around 50 years—usually between 40 and 75 years—which is about double the lifespan of an asphalt roof—between 15 and 30 years or 25 years on average.
