"Josh repaired drywall work and replastered the bathroom on a property we own. Josh's work was absolutely perfect -- he was punctual, responsive, very economical and honest. We would recommend him to anyone. "
"I found these company online and I hired them to replace all the existing windows and patio doors with new fiberglass (Milgard) Ultra windows and a double French door from them a few months ago for our renovation. They provided us with an awesome price for the windows and doors themselves and for the labor of the installation as well. The representative that I spoke to was very professional and he came over to my house on the time and day that was scheduled ahead of time via the office. The people that we were involved with (including the installers and the sales man), was definitely outstanding. We had a minor issues that accorded during install, and they provided awesome post-sale support as well. I recommended them to all my friends and family as a great company for any energy efficient products. They are fantastic. And have some Sunday hours, which is absolutely a great help. We purchased 2 additional exterior doors from them and this was an add on that we decided to do in the last minute and after the work was stated. We were sure that they won’t be able to do it during the same time… but they did it and it went so smooth and excellent. Should've gone to Landmark construction energy crew for those too. You can shop with confidence with them!"

"We were pleased with the quality of the work. We can only vouch for the above three items, but the contractor has been doing work in northern California for many years, and seems very experienced. He was prompt and polite, and very conscientious.I think we got our money's worth, as the drywall and carpentry exterior work required skilled labor. In fact, the contractor was not able to complete the job in one day, and returned the next day to finish. This added a few more hours, which he included in the $295 we had prepaid. I had a couple of smaller jobs (caulking and varnishing a couple of floor boards) that we didn't have time for. I have no complaints, and would use this company again for handyman-type work without hesitation. One tip that I wish I had known in advance, is to have the contractor see the job beforehand, itemize the materials needed in advance, and purchase everything BEFORE coming to do the work. This would have saved us time, because several trips were made the day of. "

"Efram was professional and know what he doing and we are satisfied with his wonderful skills and Job done. But still my drywall need to be finished since he opened the wall to do his job And was told to request service for that. So far I am thankful"
"The shed was built from ground up. It's 8x10, there's a shelf that's goes from one side to the other side. There is a 36in door with a lock and a dead bolt lock which makes it very secure.
During our first meet he over heard me tell my husband that it would be nice if there was a light in there just in case we have to go into the shed at night. Well to my surprise he installed a light that runs off of solar, the light came with 3 settings. I love it and yes I have been in the shed at night.
He made me feel like he really aim to please and he listens to his customers. I would definitely use Repair & Remodel Experts again. I not only recommend this company, I highly recommend this company for any services one may have."
"On time and fast with a fair price. Stripped wall paper very well. Excellent texturing of stripped walls. Texture matched other walls. Painting afterwards was fair...left a few spots unpainted and a few places that needed to be touched up...but all easily fixed. All in all...very satisfied"
The best tool for skim coating drywall is a skim coating blade, which can smooth out joint compound in wide stretches. While you could use a smaller drywall knife for skim coating, the smaller size means it’ll take longer to smooth out each section. Instead, consider investing in a skim coating blade for the quickest application.
A utility knife is sharp enough to score the drywall and it may work in a pinch for outlet box holes. However, one of the best tools for drywall when you need to make exact cuts for an outlet box quickly is a drywall saw. This handheld tool has a longer blade than a utility knife, so it penetrates the thickness of the drywall easily. The design of its handle and the teeth in its blade make it easier to control while cutting quicker than you can with a utility knife.
Knowing what causes drywall damage can help stop it before it starts. Here are some of the most common causes of drywall damage:
Water damage from roof leaks or leaky pipes.
Small holes caused by doorknobs, minor accidents, and rodent infestations.
Wall dents stemming from moving furniture and minor accidents.
Wall cracks that form from a settling foundation or seismic activity.
Nail pops from nails and screws in the walls.
Large holes that are caused by accidents with heavy objects, children and pets, or sporting equipment.
If your home’s foundation shifts slightly over time, any seams in the drywall represent the weakest point in the wall, leading to cracks. If your home has significant changes in temperature and humidity, this can cause the drywall to swell and contract slightly, causing a crack at the weak point of the seam. If your drywall installer did a poor job securing the panels to the wall studs, this could cause a weak layout and cracks in the seams.
You should start looking for a drywall installer by choosing a local company with positive online reviews and ratings with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Next, confirm that the professional is properly licensed using Angi’s contractor licensing tool, and ask the installer if they are fully insured. It’s a good idea to ask for recent customer references and call them to get their honest opinion about the contractor and their work. You can also ask the installer if they guarantee their work or provide a workmanship warranty.
