"Fantastic. I switched to Sterling some two years ago for both pools. Professional. Clean pool. Accurate on repair estimates (for things like the sweeper). They also installed my pool equipment at my current course after we did a major remodel. About $14,000 (back in spring of 2015). Everything works great. The owner is very responsive."

Customers say: Quick response

"Edwin has excellent customer service and has reasonable price. He was the first one to contact me regarding my service need, followed-up, and very responsive. What I love the most is that he gave me a window time between 10:00A.M. -1:00 P.M. and showed up at 10:11 A.M. This allowed us to do more stuff on that day and not just sit around and wait. Thanks again Edwin for a wonderful job and for your professionalism. More power to you!"

"Price quote was much lower than others, reviews from others very good, and BBB check showed he is BBB member with no complaints. Work was performed on time, included jackhammering out old skimmer from pool deck, installation of new skimmer, patch concrete, cleanup and rebalance pool water. Very pleased with the results."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

When planning for land survey costs, you should consider the following elements as major contributors to the overall cost:

  • Size of your property in terms of acres or square feet

  • Complexity of the terrain in terms of hills, elevation changes, rocks, water, and other features

  • Type of survey you need (boundary survey, topographic survey, or a combination of survey types)

  • Distance traveled for the professional surveyor

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.
