"I hired Advantage Pools after firing another pool contractor (Espinoza pools) for many reasons. The difference between Advantage Pools and the other contractor was night and they. These guys are professionals. They explained to me what and why in every major step of the project that a "non pool" guy like me can understand. All the workers speak fluent English. I am very pleased with their work. It took a bit longer than expected but since it was already Fall when the project got started, it wasn't a big deal."

"He called me back immediately and because my pool is commercial I needed a different type of cleaning service but he gave me several numbers and suggestions. He was kind, helpful and informative. I would recommend to others who do not have commercial pools."

Our history begins with value.\nIn 1954, we opened the doors of our Los Angeles office and began building pools for Southern California families. We had a simple philosophy: build every pool with the finest craftsmanship, respecting our customers money and property as if it were our own. \n\nCalifornia families loved our approach. By 1975 we were the states premier builder of residential pools. In 1976 we opened our Stockton office the first of six locations in Northern California. \n\nToday, Swan Pools is Californias leader in residential swimming pools. We have never changed our founding philosophy. But now, we can offer our customer something more - the backing of a secure, successful group of companies, with a 50-year track record and over 50,000 projects completed.\n \n \nBeyond the water is the oasis.\nWeve always understood that the pool is just a detail of a bigger picture. Above and around the water is a living environment. Its a place where families come to find joy, exhilaration, tranquility and the pleasure of company, a private oasis. \n\nToday, Swan Pools creates complete backyard environments, with the pool as a centerpiece. We begin with the lives of our customers, their hopes and dreams, needs and passions. "They did an excellent job. The only issue was that after starting to chip away at the old plaster, they called me and told me that my pool had been replastered before. Therefore it had 2 layers of old plaster. That meant more work to chip it all the way down to the gunite. That would cost $1,500 more! I had chosen PPP because of their low bid and good reviews on Angie's List. I was very upset. Jorge said that he could replaster without stripping down to the the gunite. I told him that other companies specified in their estimate and quot;strip down to the guniteand quot;. He agreed to drop the surcharge to $1,200.
Notwithstanding this, PPP were still cheaper and did a superb job.
My recommendation to others is to make the contractor be very specific as to his assumptions and state what are the incremental costs if these assumptions turn out to be incorrect.Jorge is a very pleasant man who is a pleasure to deal with.

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"Bill and the rest of the Fine Point team were incredible.
They sanded and repainted a large kitchen with stained oak cabinets. Since the oak didn't take the paint like other woods, they applied an extra coat of primer and and extra finishing coat to make sure that it looked the way we hoped. They used a spray, which helped give the cabinets a professional, uniform coat. They look fantastic.
When the paint dried, some of the cabinets didn't close properly. This is not a criticism?when we told Bill, he came by the next day to fix those that were misaligned (which could have happened in any project), so the final kitchen looked perfect.
The whole team was really friendly. They put in extra hours to make sure the job was done well, and honored their initial estimate, which was completely reasonably compared to some estimates we received.
They touched up several areas of the house. When we couldn't find a matching paint for the upstairs bathroom, Bill repainted the entire wall with another paint, and he did it for a nominal fee.
What can I say? The team was patient with us as clients, thorough with the job, and masters of the craft. Our house looks fantastic, and I'd hire them or recommend them in a heartbeat.

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

This is fairly rare, but sometimes the local government or a group like a historical society will label a tree as a landmark, or historical item. These designations almost always come with a small, on-site plaque for identification, but you should also be able to look up protected trees in your area on a city website or similar list. If the tree in question is a landmark, call your local government and ask how to proceed before making any plans.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

Professionals prevent misalignment, ensure sturdy construction, and save time by handling complex instructions.

New constructions, renovations, and interior layouts benefit from expert drafting.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.
