"I never write reviews, but feel that it is important to help others in selecting a reputable well service contractor. Ben and Grant did a fantastic job in replacing a well pump. What differentiates Hydrocurrent Well Services from the competition is customer service. Unfortunately, the original new pump they installed was defective from the factory and it took them multiple trips to determine that the pump was defective. They kept coming back out to troubleshoot until they figured out the problem and got my well operating again. Highly recommend this company."

"Great service and professional, friendly attitude by technician Giovanni Russo! He explained why and how my AC needed improvements. He was mindful of my budget requirements and provided the company's senior discounts. I appreciated how thorough he was and his attention to detail in servicing my AC equipment. Upon completion of his service, I immediately felt improvement in the AC flow in my home. He was so kind in explaining sometimes more than once, all the details of his visit to a female senior customer. I will always request Giovanni and ASI when I need professional services in the future."

"Vortex Filtration Inc is a excellent company with vast experience & knowledge in conditioning potable well water. I recommend Vortex Filtration Inc to design build and install their patented Vortex water system to solved all well water conditioning issues. My client had a problem for over tens years prior to the installation of the Vortex system. Once installed, the well water in the holding tank was crystal clear. Thanks Vortex!"

"I was contacted by the nice folks at LO Lynch who put me in contact with their plumber immediately, who after I described my problem advised me over the phone what to do. So I was able to resolve my booster pump issue without having to hire them to come out to the house saving time and $$$. These folks are very knowledgeable and helpful and I definitely recommend them for any plumbing issues. Added these folks to my contact list."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

Servicing includes cleaning filters and coils, checking coolant levels, and inspecting electrical connections.

If you have a small well or a particularly high water demand, it’s possible to overuse your well. How quickly a well replenishes depends on its water source. In this case, you may want to purchase a water storage tank that you can fill from the well in off-hours, or if you’re planning to build a new well and you expect a large water demand, you may want to build a deeper well to match your needs.

Yes, a bigger well pump can increase water pressure—up to a point. If you currently have a well pump of 8 GPM, you might notice a pressure boost when you go up to 10 GPM. However, overshooting significantly (going up to 15 GPM for an 8 GPM home) can strain your well system and result in things like burst pipes that can decrease your water pressure and make for costly repairs.

If you’re going away on vacation or leaving your home for a long time, it’s a good idea to switch off your well pump and pressure tank before you go. This way you can prevent any damage from unexpected leaks that may occur or unforeseen electrical issues while you’re away.

No, a larger well pressure tank will not increase or improve water pressure on its own. The pressure control on the well pump is what determines the water pressure in your home. However, a larger tank does offer other benefits. It can hold more water, allowing you to run it for longer before the pump needs to turn on. Because the pump cycles on and off less frequently, there is less stress and wear on the well system. This can lead to a longer lifespan for the pump and tank, and you may experience fewer pump-related issues that could affect your water pressure in the long run.

If you want to increase your water pressure, you can try one of the following solutions:

• Adjust the tank’s pressure settings to a higher PSI (pounds per square inch).

• Replace your current pump with one that has a higher flow rate (GPM).

• Install a water pressure booster pump in your plumbing system.

• For pressure fluctuations, consider replacing your current setup with a constant pressure system.
