"Eco Guard is a fantastic organization with a great product and excellent client interaction. I've used them for 5 years and don't have any complaints. The price is reasonable and the staff are very knowledgeable and responsive. If any issues arise EG has been very quick to address and has shown a lot of integrity. Thanks very much for the great work!"

"I was in desperate need of some help and answers to my pest problems. This was the first & only Pro that contacted me. While I didn't technically hire them, they were very professional and responded quickly to my project request. The project was quoted at $200, but I was only charged $50 for a down payment and inspection. While I may still be baffled at how I got a small invasion of pesky flies, the Pro was excellent at communicating with me and still offered their services in my time of need."

"This company is the best I have ever experienced! So responsive, professional and amazing! They responded so fast to us and they took care of the issue! The cusotomer service is the best! Usually these days customer support is not good but this company is amazing! We had a major rat problem and they not only got rid of them but they figured out how they were coming in and stopped them as well as set rat traps!"

"It is rare to find a company whose commitment matches its billing. Rodent Busters went far beyond what other companies were willing to do. They moved bookshelves, boxes and furniture to assess the entire basement and clean a dusty landscape. They came quickly after an errant critter, likely unable to escape, was found. The members of the team were considerate, gracious and attentive to the specific concerns I had. One dreads dealing with the matter of rodents. This company literally brought joy to the endeavor. I cannot recommend them highly enough."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

A rat nest often looks like a messy, loosely formed pile hidden in a quiet spot. It may appear as a ball-shaped cluster or just a scattered heap made from shredded paper, fabric, insulation, leaves, twigs, and other soft materials. Rats gather whatever they can find nearby to build their nests, often tucking them away in walls, attics, or behind appliances for warmth and safety.

Mites hate dry conditions, extreme temperatures, and specific scents. Since they prefer humid environments, eliminating moisture inside your home can help kill them off. If you have essential oils at your disposal, you can use eucalyptus, rosemary, and clove to help get rid of and keep mites at bay.

Earwigs may look scary with their pincers, but they don’t pose a serious threat to humans or pets. They are not poisonous, do not sting, and rarely bite or pinch unless handled. While they are not known to transmit diseases, their presence can signal underlying moisture problems in your home, such as mold, water damage, or rotting wood. A large infestation can become a nuisance, and certain species may emit an unpleasant odor. Therefore, while earwigs themselves aren’t dangerous, a large number of them may indicate bigger issues that should be addressed by a pest control professional.

Generally, squirrels are not considered aggressive toward humans. They are more likely to flee than confront people. However, like many animals, they may exhibit aggressive behavior if they feel threatened or cornered. If you approach a squirrel too closely or try to handle it, especially if it's a mother protecting her young, it may resort to defensive tactics such as biting or scratching.

The easiest way to tell what kind of wasp you have is to identify its size, markings, color, and the type of nest it builds. These factors can help differentiate one type of wasp from another, since there are hundreds of thousands of different species. If you need help identifying the wasp type, consult a local pest control professional.
