Customers say: True professional

"I had a problem with the airgap and the garbage disposal. I also needed some help with low water flow in one of my showers. Lano helped me resolve all my problems very promptly and professionally. He is very competent and does the job efficiently. I would hire him back for any of my other handyman needs as well."

"Everything went fine with the exception of the fan install which was pretty tricky - we have some funky wiring done in the 80s by the old homeowner. Otherwise, great - Marcus got out to our house quickly and there were A LOT of lights/switches/exhaust fans to install which were taken care of quickly and at a reasonable price."

"A home is a very personal, sacred place, so it is nerve-racking to trust a stranger and their "expertise" with your home, especially having been burned by different, previous contractor; however, trust me when I say this: you will be in good hand with California Crews. The crew arrived promptly early in the morning, worked really hard throughout the day, cleaned up the property before I arrived home each day, and always kept an open, professional line of communication. Some may have been born a green thumb; unfortunately, I have been graced with a brown thumb. I kill every plant I come in contact with. Luckily, Joel was patient enough to pick the plants for us, which worked out very well. I completely trust his expertise. With California Crews, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. California Crews did an immaculate job on landscaping and taming a beast of a yard. We've already received compliments and positive feedback from neighbors (they're also probably grateful that California Crews got rid of my knee-high weeds too, haha). THANK YOU so much."

"First and foremost if i could give Solorios Insulation Services 10 stars i would. The work completed was exceptional. Every step of the job from the beginning bid to the last part of the clean up was better than expected. The work was completed in the time they said it would be and (Jesus) was a stand up guy to have working in our home and paid attention to every detail that meant so much to us. I cannot say enough of how happy i'am with this company. We definitely will be calling them again in the near future i highly recommend them. Thank you!!"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Selection relies on matching fan size and power to attic volume and ensuring compatibility with home electrical systems and ventilation requirements.

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Yes, you can oil an electric fan with machine or motor oil but don’t use cooking oil because it can become thick or seize up, damaging the fan. Before oiling your fan, turn it off and remove any dust and debris. Wipe away any excess lubricant after oiling.

A blower and a fan serve different functions, so whether a blower versus a fan is better depends on what you need. If you need to heat or warm your home, it’s important that the HVAC blower is in good working condition. If you want to prevent an AC unit from overheating, make sure to keep up-to-date on condenser fan maintenance.
