"Ismael came to work on time. He is considerate about my health concern & safety. He worked hard for long hours without break and shared useful information. I referred him to my neighbor and coworker for plumbing services."

"Generally, it went well. I was told exactly what they were going to do before they did the work. The first day, I was taken aback at the price of the work, I assumed the original request would not be such an ordeal, so they allowed me time to consider the work and price while they fixed the toilet. I did decide to go ahead with Top Contender, and I am glad I did. They opened up the wall opposite the faucet, shower head, etc, and found rotten wood, which they replaced, cut away old pipes that were causing electrolysis, reinforced the pipes with staples(not sure of the technical terms), and patched up their work after replacing the shower head, faucet and spout. They were thorough. I had to add additional work to the kitchen faucet problem after cleaning under the sink and notice a crack on the pipe and ask if they would replace it after they fixed the faucet. The issue with the faucet was that it looked like it should have been stuck in the wall a lot further. I wanted to add tile on the wall behind the sink and the faucet stuck out of the wall. The exposed section was covered nicely and I am able to slide the piece, install the tile, and slide the piece back to the wall - problem solved. They did remove the plumbing underneath the sink with new, ABS p-trap assembly. Before they worked in the bathroom, they papered the floor from the front door through the bathroom, used any parts I had on hand, and aired out the bathroom during the entire time. They did clean up, better than most.. not perfect (but I would only notice that).."

"Art was extremely helpful and accommodating at every step of the project, from bidding through scheduling and even some additional work we needed a few weeks later. The team worked efficiently, doing a new main line install (going under our sidewalk and concrete without any demolition), re-piped the horizontal pipes under the house with copper (they were 100 year old galvanized), and setup a new shut off and regulator outside. They did everything in a day and cleaned up nicely. When we had other contractors working on our foundation 2 weeks later, they bent over backwards to get plumbers out the next day to make some fixes to drain pipe and at an excellent price. I got quotes from three companies and Repipe Pro was the most competitive and also great responsiveness from Art and his wife Thelma who run the business. To anyone looking for a repipe of a home or new main line or having drain work done, I definitely recommend contacting Art at Repipe Pro."

"On July 19, 2019 Richco repaired a corroded water inlet pipe where it enters through a stucco wall. This included replacing pipe in the wall and shut-off valves for a nearby sink. New supply hoses were included. The technician, Fernando, produced excellent results to my complete satisfaction."

"Installation went smoothly. I've had the system for about 5 years and I recommend it highly. The water tastes great. We don't buy water anymore. Our pipes are protected from mineral buildup. Very pleased with our purchase."

"This problem began Saturday 2 Feb. 2013 when I did a load of clothes and had decided that the pond I have for a pet goose and duck needed to be cleaned also. The washing machine is in the basement and when I went to check to see if the rinse cycle was done I found that a relatively small amount of water had been dumped on the floor. At the same time the pond which should have been draining would not drain. Thinking that it was the pond that was clogged I began doing all the different steps that I have used over the years to unclog the pond's drain but was not successful. After spending a very frustratingly long day with a good neighbor who was trying to help, I called it quits until the following day. Sunday was spent much the same way. As was Monday and Tuesday. A neighbor has a 100 ft. power snake and though it was used from under the house to the pond, nothing helped. Finally on Thursday February 7 I called the Drain Co. The plumber arrived within an hour, brought a 200 ft 3and quot; power snake and he was finished within an hour. The problem was and is twofold; tree roots and a section of the sewer drain pipe is out of alignment. He could not give me their standard 30 day guarantee as a result of this which I totally understood and he suggested that until I repaired or replaced that particular section it would be in my best interest to have the main line cleaned on a regular basis. I agreed.
I used this company in the 1990s and in 2005 before joining Angie's List - I was impressed with this company then and am very satisfied with their work, their prices, their professional behavior now. I was very happy to find them on this list with such high marks and am glad to be able to add my own review. I did not speak with the owner Star this time, but instead Vickie, who answered the phone was most helpful and seemed to really care about my plumbing problem. What a pleasure to talk with someone immediately rather than some and quot;menuand quot; recorded message, and to know that she would do her best to line up help as soon as possible. Can't ask for anything more than this when dealing with a company whose service is needed.

"The repair service went fine. I was very happy with it. The issue was with Angie's part of it. The wording on the deal said one thing, but the plumbing company didn't realize the deal was not written as they wanted. After much back & forth with Angie's List to no avail, the plumbing owner and I came to a compromise. I appreciated his professionalism and customer service. Angie's List was of absolutely NO HELP at all, and denied any responsibility. They even changed the wording from the deal I had printed out to a different deal. Unbelievable cheek! I would give Angie's an F on this deal if I could. If this plumber sticks with Angie's, I'm sure the deal will be corrected, so do not let my review cloud your use of No-Clogg Plumbing. Just make sure you both agree to the deal beforehand."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.

Yes. You can replace just the stopper portion with a universal sink stopper. All you need to do is open up the existing stopper and pull it up from the drain. You should be able to remove and replace the stopper with bare hands. If the existing stopper seems to be stuck, use a pair of pliers to remove it.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

The cost varies from $200 to $1,500, depending on whether it’s a basic replacement, repair, or a full sink and plumbing upgrade.

Some of the most common plumbing repairs are certainly no small issues. The good news is that plumbers typically deal with these problems frequently and have the parts and tools ready to take care of them quickly and efficiently. These common problems include:

  • Clogged drains: $75–$250

  • Clogged toilet: $125–$300

  • Bathtub and shower: $100–$600

  • Faucet or showerhead: $200–$350

  • Sink pipe: $200–$500

  • Toilet repair: $150–$400
