THE DRAIN CO

Could not be more pleased with our experience with TheDrainCo. Mark (owner's husband) came out and completed the job within a couple hours of my initial call. Problem turned out to be a worn/split hose from the washer which was leaking out onto the floor, but he also augured (?) out the outside drain pipe, and fixed an unrelated minor issue on a nearby bathroom faucet.

I have used the Drain Co. several times. The work is always solid and reliable. They appear to have raised their prices though as last year it was $172 and this year $262 for 3 drains. The guy was here for roughly 2 hours. Last year it was 1.5 hours. I would have preferred knowing ahead of time the cost rather than being surprised by the bill, especially given that we are repeat customers and had an expectation that the cost would be equivalent to last year since our yard has not changed.

Our main sewer line backed up on Saturday afternoon. After a bit of research on Angie's List, I called The Drain Company around 3:00 and was given a verbal dollar estimate ($145 minimum on the weekend) and a time estimate of between 5:00 and 8:00 PM. I received a call from Kent at 5:15 PM that he was on the way. He arrived about a half an hour later. He sent the snake down the line, and it soon cleared the clog. He left it going for several extra feet to make sure to clear any additional roots all the way to the street.

They were friendly, polite, and knew the job. They were on time and met the agreed on price. I would not hesitate to call them again!

These folks continue to amaze.  Called them this morning, even though it was not an emergency, they were there within an hour.  This was unusual, but they had a person in the area, so they re-routed him after he was complete with his previous job.  He was clean, courteous and complete inside of 10mins upon arrival.
I always know what I get when I call these folks and they have always been professional and courteous throughout the times they have done work for me.
I trust them and will have them come back in a heartbeat.

They came out right away. I've referred other people and they're all been very happy with them. I like their service that's why I recommended them.

We had a stoppage in our patio drainage system near where several pipes meet. It wasn't clear exactly what the best avenue of attack would be. I suggested one opening which I thought was the straightest shot to the problem, but there was another the tech wanted to try first. That one seemed to lead to a T that couldn't be passed. The tech then used my original suggestion and that turned out to do the trick after some struggle with the blockage. There is usually an additional charge for going down more than one drain hole, but since success came with my original suggestion there was no additional charge which I thought was fair. In any event problem solved quickly and for the agreed upon price.
BTW, concerning the price, there is a rate sheet on their web page that lays it all out which I appreciate. There are 3 tiers: regular, overtime and double time which correspond to regular hours, off hours/weekends, and late hours/sunday/holidays. I had the work done on a Saturday morning so the indicated rate was overtime. However, there was a moment of confusion at the point of final payment when the office claimed it should be double time since it was Thanksgiving weekend. The rate sheet, original over the phone conversation and the quote from the tech on arrival all were for the overtime not the double time rate. To their credit, this was honored without too much fuss. The take away here is make sure you know which rate you are expected to pay especially when you are booking on or near a holiday. For example, is the Saturday of Easter weekend double time? It might be.

He was actually excellent. He didn't try to come out here and sell me a bunch of stuff that I didn't need. This guy came out and within 45 minutes, it was a done deal. It was extraordinarily reasonable. They showed up on time. If I have any other problems or anything, I'll definitely use them again. They were excellent. He charged more because he had to get onto the roof of my house and they had to go a sewer vent pipe on the roof 'cause I didn't have an access at ground level or theough the bathroom. His machine had a snake that went 150 feet out and he went all the way out at about 120 feet or so to get to the main problem that I was dealing with. He's very informative. He was very good at what he did in getting it done so I would definitely use him again if I ever have a problem. They were excellent throughout. They had a very quick response and took care of the business. They didn't leave any messes, didn't try to oversell me in anything I didn't need or anything like that. It was a pretty basic service but it was at a high level.

I called at 10 AM, having gotten the name from Angie's List. They were here in less than two hours! My drain was really a mess, and it took him much longer than expected to clear it, but Mark only charged me the original amount, which was extremely reasonable. I love these guys, and will use them from now on!

I called them and they came out the same day. They come out fast and they are great every year. We trust them.

The pipe from the home to the septic tank was clogged with roots. I had used this company 2 1/2 years earlier and was satisfied. The blockage was removed. The only issue was when I looked into the septic tank, I could not see where the sewage was emptying into the tank. I was concerned that the sewage might be going somewhere where it was not supposed to. Unfortunately, this company does not have a video camera, so I had to have another company come out to video the pipe. I know the video cameras are expensive, but it would have been helpful if the tech had one on the truck with him.

I called a well known company to clean out my sewer line and they were not able to do so.  They told me I needed to jettison out the line as the next step and gave me a very high price.  I called my plumber who told me to call the Drain Company.  They could not clean out the line but recommended another company who they trusted.  I called the other company who cleaned out my drain for half the price of the first company.  The Drain Company called me to see how it went.  I will definitely use them in the future to keep my sewer line cleaned out earlier in the game so I don't have this problem again.  The cost the same as this well known company and were helpful instead of trying to intimidate me.

We'll be calling these folks again. Shower stopped draining with no warning on Sunday, called The Drain Company that evening when I couldn't clear the drain with my own 6-foot auger, the company called back at 7:30am Monday morning to schedule a tech for between 8 and 10am.
At 9 sharp Ramon rang the doorbell. After my initial call on Sunday I remembered we had a Delta kitchen faucet that had recently gotten very drippy, so I told the Company about it when they called Monday morning. As Ramon didn't happen to have a Delta repair kit on his truck - this being primarily a drain clearing service - Ramon wisely took the faucet apart first so I could take the parts to my nearby plumbing supply house to make sure I got the right kit while he routed out the shower drain. He was done when I returned 20 minutes later, and in just 1 hour 10 minutes later from his arrival he was out the door and heading to his next job.
Smart, personable fellow, he worked nice and cleanly, and the price was very fair for the work involved.

I have been using this company for 9 years. It is a family business, 3 generations of pride in what they offer. Highly recommend.

The outside drain had lots of mud at the top, which, it turns out, was backed up behind a root blockage 10-20 feet down the line. He reported the line clear after about 20 minutes of work, but we put water into the drain and it backed up again. He worked at it some more and brought up some root fragments.
I have had roots cleared from drain lines before and the technician has used *much* larger equipment. He claimed to have larger snakes in the truck, but felt that they should not be used in this case. I never understood why. This company may have some terrific people, but I'll never know, I'm calling someone else next time.

Overall experience was excellent and completly sastisfied.

We had roots blocking our main line out of the house. The service professional came out on time, snaked the line and cleared the line. This is the second time we have used these folks and they continue to be the right choice as a trust worthy plumbing service.

This problem began Saturday 2 Feb. 2013 when I did a load of clothes and had decided that the pond I have for a pet goose and duck needed to be cleaned also. The washing machine is in the basement and when I went to check to see if the rinse cycle was done I found that a relatively small amount of water had been dumped on the floor. At the same time the pond which should have been draining would not drain. Thinking that it was the pond that was clogged I began doing all the different steps that I have used over the years to unclog the pond's drain but was not successful. After spending a very frustratingly long day with a good neighbor who was trying to help, I called it quits until the following day. Sunday was spent much the same way. As was Monday and Tuesday. A neighbor has a 100 ft. power snake and though it was used from under the house to the pond, nothing helped. Finally on Thursday February 7 I called the Drain Co. The plumber arrived within an hour, brought a 200 ft 3and quot; power snake and he was finished within an hour. The problem was and is twofold; tree roots and a section of the sewer drain pipe is out of alignment. He could not give me their standard 30 day guarantee as a result of this which I totally understood and he suggested that until I repaired or replaced that particular section it would be in my best interest to have the main line cleaned on a regular basis. I agreed.
I used this company in the 1990s and in 2005 before joining Angie's List - I was impressed with this company then and am very satisfied with their work, their prices, their professional behavior now. I was very happy to find them on this list with such high marks and am glad to be able to add my own review. I did not speak with the owner Star this time, but instead Vickie, who answered the phone was most helpful and seemed to really care about my plumbing problem. What a pleasure to talk with someone immediately rather than some and quot;menuand quot; recorded message, and to know that she would do her best to line up help as soon as possible. Can't ask for anything more than this when dealing with a company whose service is needed.

Perfectly. The technician was punctual, professional, and extremely informative. Cleaned the clog in a few minutes and gave some tips on how to avoid going forward. I would use them again without hesitation.

I need drains cleaned from tree roots 1x or 2x a year. This is the first time I have used DrainCo. The office coordinator, Star, was so courteous and helpful. Great attitude, service; very prompt (even early!); 1st guy did not have right sized rooter blade - no charge! They sent another right away and he did a thorough job on oak tree roots! Highly recommend DrainCo for drain cleaning!
