Here's why: My job started out with an entry door replacement, evolved into a pantry expansion, and finally finished with an entire kitchen countertop replacement. I was very pleased with how they worked, the materials they used, and the attention to detail in the workmanship. And they were very responsive, communicated well and frequently, and checked in regularly to make sure the job was getting done right and on time. Each of their craftsmen were highly skilled, knew what they were doing, and didn't cut any corners. And each one was friendly and courteous to boot! I very much appreciated their attention to protecting the rest of the house, and they cleaned up the jobsite every single day at the end of their work day. Remodels are disruptive, no matter what. But this was about the least painful I've experienced. I have worked with a lot of contractors. CHI is a 10 out of 10."

Got a few estimate, one was 30% lower than Fence Dr, but ultimately decided to go with Herb since he seems to know fences really well, and was able to explain things. Pros: - He and his crew are excellent at doing their work, fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves - Really like the newly installed fence sections Cons: - He pushed out the installation date 3 times due to various reasons, and told me the day before he needed to change the date - His initial quotes didn't match what he told me verbally, resulting in delays to begin the work. Overall, I'm satisfied with the work Herb and his crew from Fence Dr did, and will recommend his service."

I was expecting to have to wait much longer and was pleasantly surprised that I was not having to wait as long as other contractors were estimating. Our job lasted one more day than originally thought, however, considering that the employees had to hand dig near buried utilities in order to avoid any costly damage, I was not bothered in the least with this delay. It was to be expected and appreciated.
