While your solo bathroom may not get as much traffic, it’s still important to clean it regularly. Weekly cleans should suffice for all the high-use areas (i.e., toilet, sink, shower, floor, etc.), with monthly cleans in all the hard-to-reach places like the cupboards and grout. Remember, just because you live alone doesn’t mean your bathroom is exempt from germs and bacteria.

Consistent cleaning prevents problems that can lead to illness and ensures you’re aware of the condition of everything in your home so you can maintain and repair things as needed.

A home that is frequently cleaned will take less time than one that is not. If you are short on time, you can break the job into smaller tasks or hire a professional house cleaner.

While you might get away with once-monthly vacuuming in rooms you hardly use, it’s not ideal in other parts of your home. Your living spaces will look untidy, and leaving all that dirt lying around is not the most hygienic. Plus, the longer abrasive debris sits on your surfaces, the more chance of scratches or damage to carpet fibers.
