  My father had a heart attack and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and needed quadruple bypass. I hopped on a plane from San Francisco with my 2 kids and arrived at my parents house in NJ and I really couldn't get over the state of the house when I arrived. Clearly my father has been sick for quite some time and allowed the house to deteriorate. There was flooding water sitting on the foundation of the back of house due to lack of gutters, paint peeling off everywhere, and the front steps were missing bricks and a hazard to all that would walk up them. I did a quick google search and found Magnolia Home Remodeling and Vic came out the next day for a quote. Vic could not have been a more compassionate, accommodating, wonderful guy! He was so understanding and told me he would have the job done in 5 days and was true to his word. As soon as I gave him the green light and picked the color, the crew came in and completed the job before my dad got home from the hospital as promised. They did beautiful work and my mom, dad, and myself could not be more pleased with the outcome. Vic was superb to work with--I texted him all kind of questions and he got back to me in an instant and would pick up the phone every time I called. I highly recommend using Magnolia and we are actually going to get a few more things done to the house (windows. some cement patio/sidewalks and driveway) in a few months when things settle down with my dad and we look forward to seeing Vic and his great crew againshow more

  SOD Home Group completed a major remodel and home addition project for us. We interviewed a few other contractors, but SOD stood out because of their fair pricing, confidence and professionalism. We interviewed two other home owners who had used SOD in the past and they had great things to say about Oren and his group. They transformed our ageing 1600 sq.ft. home into an amazing 2900 sq. ft. that is absolutely breathtaking. Since this was our dream home being built, we were very involved in selecting materials for the project and the SOD team was very accommodating. They also worked well with other contractors like HVAC, fire sprinkler and sidewalk. They executed the job to perfection while coordinating with the city for inspections. They did a great job with everything from the laying of the new foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing. The best part was that they did an excellent job of finishing including flooring, painting, etc. They were very responsive to fixing minor touch-ups even after we had moved in.   I highly recommend Oren SOD Home Group! He is very knowledgeable, answered all my questions (and more) , very professional, and responsive. Oren spent over 5 hours during our first meeting showing me all the possibilities that can be done to my house (kitchen, bathrooms, livingroom, dinning room and all the rest of the house), if you know little about all the little details about remodeling your home (like I do), Oren will definitely explain it to you in terms that you will completely understand and turns your ideas into this beautiful 3D design. Oren also had awesome ideas and recommendations on how to attain your dream home. He knows house histories, and why houses were built in a certain way! He is unlike any other contractor that will just throw out random price of how much the renovation could cost you without showing you hard proof. I am a visual learner, so when he made this amazing 3D design using the exact measurement of my house, he by far blown my mind with his experience and knowledge.   We had such a positive experience with SOD Home Group, especially in working with Oren that we feel the need to write a review in case if someone else out there is searching for the same type of work on their home or even just a good construction company/contractor to work with. Prior to SOD Home Group, we worked with another contractor who not only didn’t deliver but took off with our money. We then contacted other contractors hoping they can do the job or recommend someone who is reliable to do the work, but it turns out they can only perform smaller projects. We decided to just give up on our vision of having a complete remodeling project of our home all together since it was too difficult to find someone who could take on the job and be trustworthy. But every time we looked at the wall it bothered us, I know first world problems, so we gave it one last shot. We sent a request out to multiple construction companies and SOD Home Group was one of the few who responded. When Oren came for the initial consultation, he was very well prepared, knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of details on what was involved (permits, inspections, cost, etc) so we knew we would move forward with SOD Home Group because of him. Long story short, we couldn’t be happier to have worked with him. He was very proactive and transparent throughout the entire process, updating us on timelines and of any delays. The best part of all is that any concerns we had or imperfection that we pointed out, he happily addressed them and got them corrected until we were happy with the results.   The quoter was knowledgeable of choices for materials and pros and cons of each and what would look good on our house. This was a key factor in choosing ADHW. It took a little longer than planned to get the job started based both on installer availability as well as our schedule, but this was coordinated by the scheduler, we were kept informed and there were no surprises. The construction crew was punctual, showed up every day, cleaned up after themselves and were willing to accommodate some of the special request we had. They even did a couple extra things that were not spelled out in the contract, without any argument. The only suggestion for improvement I have is that there were a number of different parties to deal with: the quoter, the scheduler, the supervising manager for construction, and the on site construction supervisor.   Thank you to America's Dream Homeworks for truly making our "fixer-upper" house our forever dream home! The work that ADH did on our house was nothing short of a miracle in my eyes. We purchased a run down fixer-upper 4 years ago with plans of making it beautiful because, as they say, "Location. Location. Location". I had a vision in my head of what I wanted and ADH completely made that vision a reality. The crew was PHENOMENAL. I have heard horror stories of some contractors going M.I.A. midway through a project. Vasyl and his crew drove every day from Sacramento to Marin to work on our house (at least a 90 minute drive one-way) for almost 5 months! Their work ethic is amazing. Their attention to detail is incredible. When they started tearing apart our house they found so much water damage and termite damage and years and years of neglect from the previous owners that they basically had to reframe most of it. They even found a previous addition had not even been properly "connected" to the original house! But nothing phased them and they never made us feel like fixing our house was insurmountable. The tile work and the molding detail is beautiful. I cannot recommend Vasyl and his crew more for their impeccable work. They are amazing. You will not be disappointed. The ONLY issue we had was when they did find all the damage and reframing that needed to be done, the additional cost was not communicated to us up front. I definitely would have appreciated being kept in the loop about this because unfortunately, when we originally met with Mark (owner), he had specifically said that they were not like other contractors that come back to you asking for more money half-way through the project. So I had that in my head and was thinking this up until they dropped another bill on us. That would not deter me from using ADH again, however, because I used to LOATHE our fixer-upper and now I LOVE my dream home.
