"I called SD Junk Hauling to assist in an office moving project that would require some heavy lifting and the need to get it done quick. Steve helped us out in getting things cared for in a timely manner, he even came on a short notice moving his schedule around so we could meet our deadline. Would definitely use him and/or his team again.."

"John and Josh were super helpful, communicative, and removed my large junk items super quickly! They had super fair pricing and were willing to work with my schedule for the fastest pick-up time I was offered after receiving other quotes. "Mike and his team replaced our 20-year old patio cover over our built-in BBQ with a beautiful new design using redwood with a solid waterproof roof. He handled all the demo & hauling, design, footings, rafters, roof, painting, electrical, and repair or replacement of tiles and turf damaged by the old structure. Mike has a warm, friendly personality with an emphasis on quality. He listens to the customer and provides suggestions for enhancements. The structure he built is very solid - it does not budge when you lean on it. His prices are reasonable and he goes out of his way to make sure you're happy with the work."

"We found McCormick home builders through Angie’s list. They were not one of our original contacts, but they contacted us and came out to give us a quote. Matteo was extremely helpful, informative, honest, and gave us reasonable realistic prices, and did not try to inflate the prices or pressure us in anyway. We felt very comfortable with him immediately. We felt like he was a member of the family that we could just talk to and ask questions he was very personable. He gave us his contact number in case we had other questions and he was always available when we needed him for any type of questions or concerns. Mateo‘s team did a beautiful job. They were fast. They were efficient. They cleaned up beautifully. They did a wonderful job. They were very considerate of our time our needs and our neighbors. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Matteo from McCormick home builders for any home building projects, and we will be calling him again in the future!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

If you have a considerable amount of excess rip rap, you will need to hire a local landscape grader or a construction company that specializes in rip rap installation to remove it for you. Because rip rap consists of large stones, it requires proper equipment to haul away and dispose of properly. If you happen to have the necessary equipment, you can drop off your excess rip rap at a landfill or transfer station.

Make sure you're calling in the right expert to help repair and/or clean your crawl space. A serious issue may require multiple experts that include a local mold remediation pro, an HVAC pro, a foundation pro, and a plumber. You should also consider using a nearby junk removal service to avoid handling debris that could be covered in mold, fungi, rot, or asbestos.

How to dispose of excess sealant depends on the type of sealant you need to get rid of. You can simply allow latex or water-based sealants to dry out before including them in your normal household waste. Sealants that contain oils or polyurethanes require disposal at a hazardous waste disposal site or recycling facility.

Charcoal that contains lighter fluid or other additives is considered hazardous waste. Natural lump charcoal with no additives is not considered hazardous waste, although it is a flammable material. Burned charcoal that is reduced to ash is not considered hazardous waste and can be disposed of in an appropriate container in an outdoor trash barrel.

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.
