"The service was excellent, done quickly, and cleaned up great. He was very knowledgeable and was to repair more than just the broken lid he put new lids on both tanks and made sure they would last and be easy to pump for years to come. He was also able to put new code back flows on both tanks."

"Jesse Lyon the owner is quick, reliable and can troubleshoot a well issue within 10 minutes! He came yesterday morning to see why I had no water in my house. He immediately knew upon inspection that my system needed a new tank/bladder. He was back in 30 with the large tank and had it installed within 30 minutes. He even fixed an old electrical device that was worn out. Jesse is a joy to work with. Always smiling and confident, he relieves any anxiety you may have about a potentially very costly system. He is truly interested in the customer and gives great customer service. And he is honestâ ¦. Something that in my experiencesâ ¦. Is a rare and invaluable characteristic. I will tell everyone about him including my friends who work in the real estate business!"

"First time ever having a well. We called multiple other people after our well kept running dry and our storage tank barely filling over a quarter tank and this gentleman came to our home for way cheaper than the others had charged and while nobody else could give us answers that solved our running out of water every four days problem. Keller drilling came out spent an HR or so here and solved our problem with ease. Our family is truly grateful for this man's knowledge and time coming out and solving our troubles that seemed to be adding so much weight to our thoughts and shoulder having children and normal life occurrences. We have found our permanent Well professional and highly recommend this company to anyone out there that needs a professional and reliable "Well guy"..."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Yes, a septic tank riser can replace a concrete septic tank lid. Risers are designed to replace various types of septic tank covers, including concrete, metal, and fiberglass, to provide easier access for pumping and repairs. While a plastic riser makes future access more convenient, the initial replacement can be difficult because concrete lids are very heavy, so it is a job best left to professionals. Once installed, you will need to be cautious around the riser during yard work, such as mowing, to avoid causing damage.

Conventional anaerobic septic systems are the most cost-effective and least expensive type, with installation costs typically ranging from $3,000 to $8,000. For comparison, sand filter systems cost between $7,000 and $18,000, while mound systems are the most expensive at $10,000 to $20,000. Several factors influence the final price. The tank material is a key consideration; plastic tanks are the most budget-friendly option, starting around $2,900, but concrete and fiberglass tanks offer greater durability and longer life spans at a higher cost. The size of the tank also affects the price. For example, a 1,000-gallon tank costs between $900 and $1,500, whereas a larger 1,500-gallon tank costs $1,500 to $2,500.

Septic tanks aren’t bad for the environment as long as they receive proper maintenance and attention. This means staying up-to-date with professional septic system inspections and septic tank pumping. Without regular maintenance, parts of the septic system could break or stop working, potentially letting harmful waste into the soil and groundwater.

There are a variety of different types of septic systems that can work in your home—such as conventional anaerobic systems, chamber systems, drip distribution systems and mound septic systems. All of them work using natural processes to break down solid waste and effectively treat wastewater without needing to be connected to a city sewer system. Which type of septic system you need will depend on characteristics of your property like how high the bedrock is or groundwater table is. Different types of systems come at different costs to install.

Adding a thin layer of dirt over a septic drain field is fine, especially if soil erosion has occurred. However, adding too much dirt can compact the soil, reducing the drain field’s ability to absorb and filter wastewater properly. Avoid using heavy clay soil, as it can prevent proper drainage. Instead, use a light layer of topsoil and plant grass to help with soil stability.
