We have oak floor throughout the floor part of the stairs and we were thinking we were gonna use in the upstairs hallway and he said, and ldquo;Consider just carpeting the whole thing, it would cost a lot less and I think you'll like it just as well. If you don't, you can always take the carpet off and put in the wood later if that's really what you want to do.and rdquo; I think we made a good choice just to do what he said. (The carpet had to be run specially by the manufacturer.) When my remodel slowed down, he was very flexible about re-scheduling the date of installation to meet my new needs. The installation was painless, with workers arriving exactly when they said they would, cleaning up after themselves, and making seams that were almost invisible, with a single exception.
