Small jobs welcome

"Al Drew is incredible. He painted the trim, doors, eaves, plumbing access points, ect on the exterior of my house. It was affordable, and quality work. He was professional. He has so much knowledge and is willing to share it with you. For instance, we got to talking about cleaning cabinets of oily greasy build up and I told him the things I tried that hadn't work and he suggested something that does, just because he's a nice guy. I cannot recommend him enough. If I ever need more painting done, or cabinets refinished stained, or painted I know who I'm calling and that's Al Drew. Thankyou Al for taking my ugly duckling house and turning her into a swan. You sir, are amazing."

Customers say: Quick response

"Tim was very prompt on returning all phone calls. He and his three man crew were very clean and neat. There were no over spray or drips on windows, doors, glass or anywhere else. He painted my two story house and 1,000 sq. foot workshop which included rain gutters, downspouts, two upstairs patio decks and wrought iron railings. After pressure washing everything first he finished painting everything in four days. They always showed up on time and continuously worked hard all day. They did a beautiful job and I recommend them to everyone."

"Frank and his crew are truly a class act. From the moment he described their process, I trusted that the job was going to be primo: the repairs, the product, the prep, the primer, the multi-coats of paint, the detail work, the clean up, ALL FANTASTIC! I enjoyed hanging around with the crew. Billy and his family are kind, honest, and hard-working people. My neighbor stopped by during the process, and marveled at skillful work being accomplished. I will recommend Novielli Painting to anyone and everyone. Viva Novielli"

"So very pleased with Razi and his crew. We could tell from the day we met him he is very experienced, conscientious, receptive to our suggestions and the finished product everything weâ d hoped. Job was very extensive; painting outside of our home which included replacing wood. Would have them paint for us again anytime"

"We hired them to stain/paint the fence around our house. The did an excellent, and timely job, with close attention to detail, and used quality wood stain and paint. They also worked carefully with attention to detail on portions of the project that had to be in compliance with H.O.A. C.C&R. requirements. We would definitely hire them again."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It’s important to make sure the wood on a new deck is properly seasoned. Seasoning a deck is simple: Once you build it (or have a pro do so), just leave it alone so it can acclimate to the environment. If you don’t give the deck proper seasoning time before staining, the stain can lock in any lingering moisture and cause mold, rot, and other moisture issues down the road. Give the wood at least four to eight weeks to season before you stain.

Provided conditions are ideal, staining an entire deck should take as little as a couple of hours and up to a couple of days to apply and cure. Additional procedures, like sealing a deck or using additional treatments, may extend the project by a few additional days.

The longevity of paint on wood depends on factors like the quality of the paint, surface preparation, exposure to elements, and maintenance. Exterior paint on wood surfaces can last 5 to 15 years or more with proper care and maintenance. Interior paint tends to have a longer life span, often 10 years or more. Regular cleaning, touch-ups, and addressing any issues like peeling or cracking can extend the life of the paint.

The need for a topcoat on a painted deck depends on various factors, primarily the type of paint used and your desired level of protection. Many premium deck paint formulations are self-sealing, eliminating the necessity for an additional topcoat. These paints often have built-in additives that substantially protect against moisture, UV rays, and everyday wear and tear.

Yes, it is generally a very good idea to seal your deck after pressure washing. Power washing removes not only dirt and debris but also a thin layer of wood, leaving the surface exposed and more susceptible to weathering. Sealing is almost always needed after this process. After a general cleaning, sealing isn't automatically necessary if the existing sealant is still intact. You can test the surface by placing a few drops of water on it. If the water beads up, the sealant is working. If it soaks into the wood, it's time to apply a new sealant. If it has been a few years, it's wise to remove the old sealant, wash the deck, and reseal for maximum protection.
