"Al did a wicked awesome job on my 100 year old craftsman home in Lemoore! Great attention to detail. Clear communication. A more than fair price. He even made minor carpentry repairs before starting the paint job!"

"We hired Pro Painting Plus to paint the exterior of our home, and the work has been nothing short of phenomenal. It has completed revived the home in which our family grew up in. Jesus and his crew took just over 40 hours to paint our two story house in two colors. I can’t help but recommend their services to anyone looking for professional paint work."

"Todd and his crew did an excellent job that exceeded my expectations. First, he showed up on time for the estimate and give me a written estimate before end of that same day. Second, he showed up on time and worked long hours to complete that job. Todd and his crew had excellent attention to detail. His team are experienced and knows what they are doing. The house he painted belongs to my 98 year old Mother who said "....the painter did a very good job and I would recommend him to anyone. " She also added: "They are nice local people too" Praise by my Mom does not come easy! So thanks Todd, you made whole process pain free and easy for me."

"Evers Painting handled exterior painting, as well as stucco work.... interior painting, cabinet painting, and ceing paint including restoring dining room ceiling that had a bulging crack of about 4 feet. Restored it completely. They are fast, thorough, and a class act. I recommend them with out hesitation. Very affordable as well."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Applying too much sealer to a deck might seem like extra protection, but it can cause more harm than good. Wood is a porous material with a limited capacity to absorb liquids. When you go overboard with sealer, the excess can't soak in and instead forms a film on the surface. This leftover layer is prone to peeling, cracking, and trapping moisture, ultimately defeating the purpose of sealing in the first place.

Generally, these steps are included in exterior house painting:

  • Prepping and protecting the areas not being painted

  • Scraping away loose paint

  • Cleaning off dirt, grease, and debris

  • Caulking gaps and openings

  • Priming with a quality paint primer

  • Painting the prepared areas, including trim and accents with chosen paint finish

  • Adding a second coat

  • Cleaning up the site and disposing of tape, plastic, and drop cloths

Whether to brush or roll stain on wood depends on the project and your preference. Brushing is ideal for smaller, intricate areas and offers more control over the application, ensuring thorough coverage and penetration into the wood's grain.

Conversely, rolling is efficient for more extensive, flat surfaces and can save time. However, it is not always the best fit for textured or uneven wood. Some projects may benefit from combining both methods, using a brush for detail work and a roller for broader areas. Ultimately, the choice between brushing and rolling depends on the specific requirements of your staining project.

There’s no single paint that’s the most waterproof. Instead, there are several types of waterproof and water-resistant paints that suit different purposes. Epoxy paint, for instance, is commonly used to provide a waterproof coating to floors and decks. Masonry paint is an excellent choice for exterior walls. Meanwhile, there are waterproof acrylic paints that can be used for interior and exterior walls. It’s more about choosing the best type for what you’re painting instead of the most waterproof paint overall.

The best time to paint your deck is when temperatures are neither too cold (below 60 degrees) nor too hot (above 85 degrees). Always paint your deck when there’s no risk of rain. For fast-drying paint like acrylic or latex, ensure your deck can dry for at least four hours. Oil-based paints take longer to dry and may require 48 hours to completely cure.
