"Wonderfully. They exceeded my expectations in terms of personnel and operations. They have their methods down to a science. They are efficient, fast and clean. Getting rid of asbestos could have been a real nightmare, which is why I'd put it off for some time, but they made it easy and safe."

"If you binge watch home improvement shows on TV like I do, the word, "asbestos" can send you and your budget into a cold sweat! William and his team at Laroue Environmental, LLC did a great job thoroughly explaining the asbestos testing process to me as well as my options should the results come back positive. As a first time home owner myself, the process of renovating can be a bit stressful. Working with Laroue Environmental, LLC was anything BUT stressful. If you do sign up for their testing services, you're in good hands! Good luck on your next home renovation project and stay safe out there!"

Customers say: True professional

"Paul was proactive in getting us scheduled and setting up with our popcorn ceiling removal. He also recommended someone to do the sample tests required before removal. I felt the cost they gave us was fair. We weren’t on location when the material was being removed but they did a good job of removing the popcorn ceiling and not causing too much damage / scraps to the drywall so the resurfacing afterwards went smoothly. The only thing that could have been better was no one actually came out to inspect the place until the actual start date at which point it was determined an additional area would have to be demoed and the cost would be slightly higher. In the end we were very happy with the result just would have liked to have avoided the last minute price increase as we were just moving into the place and budgets were tight after paying our down payment. Regardless the work was done precisely and cleanly. Had the air quality tested after asbestos removal and it came back clean! Would recommend these guys to anyone looking to remove their popcorn ceilings"

"If I could give this company 10 stars I would. I am so, so, so, so, so, so happy with the results on my home. I had water damage and as a result walls, windows and floors needed to be removed, dried out and then put back. Pure Restoration was recommended to me. The owner Tommy came over, assessed everything and explained what I would need to do. Tommy was able to handle all the insurance paperwork/submissions. I would have been utterly LOST without his help with the insurance process and company. Tommy's team (Luis, Roberto, Walter and Kelvin) that worked on my house were GREAT!! Their attention to detail is exceptional!!!!!!!! They are true craftsmen. They were so professional and genuinely nice people it was a pleasure having them in my home. They showed up on time everyday, left my house clean everyday before they left no matter what they were working on and answered any questions/concerns I had. Water damage was a very stressful thing to have happen and Tommy and team were there to help me. Tommy answered all my questions and emails and always got back to me in a timely manner and helped keep me calm under a stressful and long insurance process. They office team (Angelina and Catherine) were also very helpful and patient with me. I cannot recommended this company highly enough. You will not be disappointed if you use them!!!!!!!!"

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

In the 1980s, the use of asbestos in house siding materials underwent a significant decline, ultimately being phased out by the mid-1980s to early 1990s. This change was largely due to a growing awareness of the severe health risks associated with asbestos exposure, particularly its link to lung diseases and cancers. With increased public concern and regulatory agency involvement, building codes and regulations were updated to restrict the use of asbestos in construction materials.

In the event of suspected or confirmed asbestos contamination on the body, it is imperative to take immediate measures to reduce health risks. To avoid further exposure, carefully remove contaminated clothing and shower thoroughly to remove any asbestos fibers. Seek prompt medical attention, and inform your healthcare professional about your suspected asbestos exposure. Since asbestos-related health issues can take years to surface, regular medical check-ups are advised for anyone with a history of exposure.

If you know your popcorn ceiling has asbestos, you should not attempt to clean it. It simply is not possible to learn how to clean asbestos safely without potentially releasing microscopic fibers into the air that could lead to severe illness in the future. Avoid disturbing or cleaning the ceiling until the asbestos removal company can get rid of the popcorn ceiling.

If you think you’ve touched asbestos, do not put on a mask. This is important because you may take the asbestos fibers on your hands on trap them in the mask. Make your way to a sink and wash your hands thoroughly. Remove any clothes and seal them in a bag, then take a shower. Call your doctor and let them know you’ve been exposed to asbestos, and make sure you see them as soon as possible. The reason you keep the clothes is in case anyone wants to confirm the presence of asbestos.

To seal off, or encapsulate, asbestos-containing materials in your home, you’ll need to utilize a sealant specifically designed for asbestos encapsulation. These sealants bind with asbestos fibers to keep them from spreading throughout the air and causing bodily harm. In many cases, these sealants can be simply painted on, but you’ll need to wear a protective body suit as well as an asbestos-rated respirator to interact with these materials safely.
