"I am waiting for said electrician to return and install a dimmer switch as promised. He did an excellent job of creating a way to save the fixture from needing a whole new fixture. I was waiting for the electrician to come and install a dimmer, and he did. Everything works great! Thank you A-Lite!"

"Everything went smoothly from start to finish.
The job was not a simple one due to my preferences and limitations of the room, so Shlomi came out for an onsite quote. He had not issues, and we discussed what I wanted.  The install went seamlessly, only taking 3 hours, which included all cleanup and reconnecting all of the AV components. The final result is professional-looking and space efficient, exactly what I was hoping to achieve.

"Jim and his employee (John) did an outstanding job installing a whole house fan and attic fan for us. They were prompt, skilled and clean. Jim was the middle of three bids and I am completely satisfied with the work. He has our hardy recommendation and will certainly get the opportunity to bid future projects of ours."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Duct fans in HVAC systems last an average of 15 to 20 years. Because these fans operate in relatively controlled environments, they can maintain their efficiency for a long period of time. To maximize the lifespan of your duct booster fan, have your HVAC system maintained regularly.

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

Replacing an AC fan motor takes one to four hours for a pro to complete, depending on how easy or difficult it is to access the AC unit. A pro may also spend extra time inspecting the unit to make sure everything else is in good condition. It may take a few days or a week between the time a pro orders a new fan motor and when the replacement comes.

It depends on your budget and cooling needs. Whole-house fans keep your home breezy by pulling in cool air and pushing out hot air. In places with milder climates, they can replace air conditioning. On the other hand, Attic fans focus on keeping your attic cool—not your entire house. Often, whole-house fans cost more than attic fans, with installation ranging from $600 to $3,600.

A whole-house fan works best to pull chilled and dry air into your home in the early morning hours and at night. This system allows you to close your windows after turning off the fan and trap the cool air inside. You can run your whole house fan continuously for maximum ventilation and fresh air, or you can turn it on for ten minutes or so at a time to introduce cool, fresh air as needed.
