"Owner was was helpful and very professional. Arrived on time; looked at the doors and windows first, then give a quote for the work to be done, then started to work on the screen replacements. The windows and doors look so much better..."

"Phillip restored my faith in contractors. Arrived ten minutes early for install and worked steadily and got it done in less time than he predicted. Do not know if door will leak when rain starts is only reason I did not give him a 5, yet. Cost seemed a bit high but I have not had work done on house, lately. PS Actually that is the going rate as I checked another contractor and when I ordered door from Home Depot, the associate said it takes a lot longer to schedule their installers. 😀 And I prefer to support local businesses."

Customers say: True professional

"He installed window AC. Final work was not clean. It looked very untidy and he asked me to buy material on my own to hide the tapes and seals. On top of that, he changed the quote and asked me to pay $25 more after the work was done because room was in second floor. Money is not a big issue, but he was just very unprofessional."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

You can add any type of window to a brick house, so long as the window has proper support. Windows with wider openings and windows in brick walls will need a lintel to support the extra weight above the window frame. A lintel is a support beam that distributes the weight from above evenly around the window.

Pet-resistant, vinyl-coated polyester is one of the strongest window screen materials available, with some manufacturers touting a 7x increase in strength compared to standard fiberglass screens. Stainless steel security screens are also extremely strong, but they’re not suitable for coastal areas due to the risk of corrosion from salty sea air. If sea air isn’t a concern, stainless steel is extremely tough.

To ensure the longevity and smooth functioning of new windows, regular maintenance is essential. This includes cleaning the glass and frames, inspecting seals for leaks or damage, and reapplying caulking as needed. It is also important to lubricate all moving parts and operating mechanisms to ensure they continue to operate smoothly.

No, it’s not safe to leave a doggy door open. It might be more convenient, especially at night when you just want to lay in bed. However, when you leave it open, it increases the chance of other critters getting in without your knowledge. Also, it leaves your pup unsupervised for hours at a time.

If you’d rather repair your screen door mesh than replace it, you can patch it. Purchase a mesh patch for screen doors with small holes or tears, especially if the mesh is pretty new. Hardware stores and websites sell mesh patches that are easy to apply with an adhesive or a warm hair dryer. Keep in mind that repairs won’t look as aesthetically pleasing in most cases as a full replacement.
