"My mother's house was broken into the night after Thanksgiving, while she was away in Florida.  I was notified Saturday morning about the break in and drove to Bakersfield to see how bad the damage was and what needed to be done.  After making several phone calls to different companies, Mr Fixit was the one that stated they would do emergency work and come out that day.  They came out pretty quick and looked at the door.  The representative they sent, his name was Dan, stated that he would board up the door from the inside until he could come back out on Monday and repair the door frame where the wood was broken out from the door being kicked open.  The following Monday, after speaking with them on the phone, Dan met with me back at my mother's house with a security door that we had requested and a replacement door frame side.  He undid the boarding up of the door, and fixed the door frame and installed the security door.  He was very fast and did a very professional job.  He cleaned up the mess from the installation, as well.  Once he was done, you couldn't even tell that the door had been kicked in.
My mom's house is an older house built during the 1960s.  He knew exactly how to deal with it to get it fixed.
Overall, I was impressed by the fact they were willing to perform emergency work during Thanksgiving weekend.  They were easy to deal with and did fantastic work.  If you are getting work done to a door, I would recommend calling this company and asking for Dan to work on your door.
