"Excellent service. I have a custom screen door, almost five feet wide and have pets, so I wanted a heavier, "pet resistant" screen. Pablo showed up and replaced not only the screen, but also repaired the door rollers and two windows, one of which required a new frame. There's no such thing as a custom frame, almost all of the have to be built to fit. Pablo took care of all of that in under two hours. Great warranty and excellent service. Quality repairs. I would definitely recommend Cleaview Mobile Screens!"

"Our first appointment was on July 27, 2013. On the first
visit we went through the house and showed him the windows we needed
replaced.  He measured each window and
took notes.
The window he was selling was called Brother?s Extreme.  The windows seemed not well made to us and we
never could figure out who actually made the windows.
On August 16, 2013 we notified Brothers that they did not
get the job for our window replacement.

"Timer switches changed out very nicely and went smoothly. Dining room interior paint: Painted 2 coats and was very neat and clean. Victor had to remove 10 shades from the windows and paint around crown moulding edges and corners---all done very carefully! He has an "artist eye" and a very steady hand. He is patient, trustworthy and feel very comfortable with him in our home. He helped us move some heavy pieces of furniture and is very neat."

Windows questions, answered by experts

A good U-factor for windows is 0.30 or lower, but they can range from 0.20 to 1.20. A general rule of thumb when it comes to the U-factor is that the lower, the better.

Storm windows are placed outside of already-installed windows. Regular windows are installed into a frame, offering a barrier to the elements but no special protection. Storm windows add extra protection to regular windows, reduce noise, and improve insulation. Replacing a regular window involves a different process than installing a storm window.

The gas between window panes, typically argon or krypton, acts as a barrier to heat transfer. This means it helps keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer by preventing heat from passing through the glass. This gas layer also reduces condensation by stabilizing the temperature across the window and helps minimize noise. Essentially, it’s all about improving energy efficiency and comfort while lowering those utility bills.

Glass block windows are energy-efficient because they are much thicker than traditional glass panes, making them better insulators. They are sealed airtight, which prevents drafts and stops warm or cool air from escaping, helping to save money on heating and cooling bills. Unlike traditional windows that can be opened and closed, sealed glass block windows eliminate the potential for air leaks. For proven efficiency, look for options that are Energy Star rated. The cost for energy-efficient glass block windows is typically around $400 per window, which may be higher than standard windows.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, low-E windows can reduce energy loss by 30% to 50%. But the actual effect of low-E windows in your home will depend on many factors, like climate, number of windows, window treatments, and more. In terms of aesthetics, you may or may not notice a difference in how your windows look or how much natural light shines through. But overall, low-E windows look very similar to traditional windows.
