"My initial review was all negative. I wish that I could withdraw it, I was a little upset at the time. I was given a quote that I accepted and I didn't hear back from them for about a week, so I was obviously annoyed when I made my review for the "No Show". As it turned out they had a legitimate reason why they didn't get back to me sooner. I accept the reason 100%. Anyway... They spent on what I thought would have been a 3 hour day "tops" to nearly an 8 hour day. Anthony who was running the show as it turned out is a perfectionist. He pointed out minor things (to me) which I said not to worry about it on more than one occasion, and he worked on those things until he was completely satisfied. Folks, you don't see that these days! Everybody is in a hurry, not these guys. These imperfections was due to a warped door frame from flooding that we had 4-5 years ago. They quoted me for the door and door jam replacement, so this was to be expected. They finished well past sunset and the door worked and looked fantastic! Due to the darkness we did overlook a gap that I noticed the next day under the door. I took a picture, sent it to Robert Aylor, within 1 hour, Anthony was back at the house, made a quick adjustment and the problem was solved. I was blown away on how fast he came over. I live 30 minutes from Palmdale. I am very, very happy with these professionals! They are strongly recommended!!"

"Bath Oasis was on time as promised. They provided covering to protect our existing flooring before the demo ever started. The Walk in Shower installation was seamless and precision to detail was great and we could not be happier with the end product, Thanks Ed"

"Expert?s team painted my bathroom and replaced the toilet, it has made such a big difference. The new toilet works perfectly and the fresh paint completely changed the space, it feels brighter and almost like a brand new bathroom. I wasn?t sure what to expect at first, but I?m genuinely impressed. The guys were polite and efficient, they made the whole process easy for me."

"Mega Power was great! I hired them to go solar on my house and the solar analyst that came out was very helpful from day one. He was not just simply a sales guy he gave me his personal cell phone that I was able to call anytime if I had questions or wanted updates about my project.
My project was about 6 kW and consisted of 22 panels, each panel was 275 Watts. What I loved about these guys is that all the products they installed were American made products, warrantied for 25 years! Working with Jonathan (our sales guy) was another reason I chose to go with Mega Power. Every step of the way Jonathan was informative, and just professional from day 1. Price quotes with other companies were similar, so I simply chose the company that provided me the best service before signing anything."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

There are several ways to save money on a bathroom remodel through proper planning and savvy design strategies. To reduce costs, consider the following:

  • Purchase your own materials: Buy your own bathroom fixtures, hardware, and other materials to avoid contractor upcharges and delivery fees.

  • Shop smart for big-ticket items: Save on pricey items like tiles and tubs by shopping sales and at discount stores.

  • Avoid major layout changes: Keep plumbing in its current location. Opt to replace fixtures rather than moving them to avoid significant renovation work.

  • Focus on high-impact, low-cost updates: Make affordable but impactful smaller changes, such as upgrading hardware, installing new lighting, and adding stylish but economical accessories.

  • DIY where possible: Handle easier parts of the remodel yourself, like painting or installing light fixtures, to save on labor costs.

  • Time your remodel strategically: Consider remodeling in the spring, which tends to be a lower-demand time of year and may result in lower costs.

Completing a full standard bathroom remodel offers the best value, with an average return on investment (ROI) of 70%. However, you don't need a full remodel to make an impact. To maximize value, focus on key components like flooring, the tub and shower, vanity, and cabinets. High-value upgrades include installing a walk-in shower, resurfacing a tub, retiling, or expanding the shower. For more budget-friendly options that still increase value, consider repainting with a light, neutral color, or updating the mirror and light fixtures. It's also crucial to address any necessary repairs, such as leaks, mold, or cracked tiles, as buyers will notice these issues. Avoid flashy upgrades like bathtub jets or steam showers, which don't add as much value.

It’s substantially less expensive to reglaze a tub than to replace it. The average cost of reglazing a bathtub is between $400 and $700, but that range may be higher based on where you live and the type of tub you have. Meanwhile, if you want to replace the bathtub, you’re looking at $2,000 to $9,400, with the average close to $5,700.

What you include in your bathroom remodel will depend on your budget, personal preferences, and the current condition of your bathroom. Bathroom renovations often involve changing out the shower or tub, faucet, showerhead, tiles, flooring, mirrors, sink, cabinets, and vanities. You may also want to upgrade the wallcovering, adding new wallpaper or paint.
