Customers say: Quick response

"called Daniel Barrientos for an estimate fir Quartz countertops. He came to my house with plenty of samples, he started measuring and he gave je a quote . Daniel explained clearly what his price included step by step. He explain what I needed to do to get ready for when he would come in to install. He called me regularly to ask me if I had any questions or concerns. Which I did. He kept close contact with me until the day of service. He arrived on time and completely finished on time. Daniel and his workers even vacuumed and cleaned up after themselves!!! Wow!!! Impressed!!! Daniel explain how to maintain the quartz patiently. I was truly blessed having Daniel as my countertop services provider! He installed my new sink and faucet. Danielâ s business is highly recommended personally from me! Thank you very much Daniel! Your many years of experience is so obvious!"

"They did a good job. We purchased the Angie's Deal for new granite countertops for $1499. Of course we ended up choosing a higher priced granite, needing more granite square footage than the deal covered, and upgrading the sink for additional cost. They also needed to move up the electrical outlets to accommodate for the new 6 inch granite backsplash. Bryan and his team did the entire job in 2 days and were great. One thing to mention is that they do not hook back up the sink after the job. They were very clear about that in their estimate. We called a separate plumber for that the next day. Overall, very happy with my counters. Now if someone else would just do the cooking in there!"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, you cannot put hot pans directly on laminate countertops, as the heat can cause significant damage. The heat can cause chips, burns, and marks, plus weaken the laminate. If you do have something hot you need to set down, then be sure you use a trivet or towel as a barrier between the countertop and pan so you can prolong its life.

The average cost to install or replace countertops is $3,105, with most projects falling between $1,858 and $4,177. However, the total price can range from $400 to $8,500 depending on several key factors. The most influential cost factors include the countertop material, the size in square feet, the quality of the new countertops, and the complexity of the job, such as the number of sink cutouts, corners, and special edging. Other considerations are the accessibility of the installation area and whether the project includes the removal and disposal of your old countertops. You have a wide array of material options to choose from. Laminate is generally the most budget-friendly, costing between $8 and $27 per square foot. On the higher end, slate countertops range from $30 to $90 per square foot. Other popular materials with varying price points include butcher block, quartz, granite, stainless steel, Corian, and wood.

No, you should not put hot pots or pans directly on epoxy countertops, as this can cause permanent damage. While epoxy is heat-resistant, it is not fully heatproof. Epoxy countertops can typically withstand temperatures ranging from 135°F to 300°F, but cookware directly from a stove or oven can reach much higher temperatures (300°F to 500°F). Placing an extremely hot item on the surface can cause it to melt, soften, or discolor. To protect the integrity and appearance of your countertops, always use a trivet, hot pad, pot holder, or other heat-resistant barrier before setting down hot cookware.

The best budget-friendly countertop option depends on personal preference. Concrete is a great alternative to more expensive materials, as it can be cured and treated for unique designs. Another cheap material worth considering is plywood. It can be laminated or stained to suit nearly any aesthetic. Granite remnants are also a good choice.

The easiest way to calculate a countertop's square footage is to divide your countertop into squares and rectangles, then multiply the length and the width of each piece in inches before adding them together and dividing by 144.
