"I was very impressed with Bob. He came out at the time that he said he would be here and worked very quickly and efficiently. To top it all off, his prices are the best that I have ever seen for a locksmith service. Bob was very personable and also gave me some great tips about how to make my home more secure. I have several other rental properties and I will for sure be using his services in the future. I highly recommend  this locksmith for anybody out there."

"I highly recommend Alex! (I never write reviews, so this means something). I lost my BMW key and I was totally desperate. I originally used someone else and they were not able to complete the job. Alex came the next day. He was very friendly and extremely patient with my high security car. When one method wasn't really working (which is where the previous guy sort of just stopped and said he couldn't complete the job), Alex found a different way. It's not an easy car to make a key for, but Alex did not give up and I was so grateful. I was expecting to get a crapy little key that I was going to have unlock every time by turning it in the door handle, but he cut me a key with the lock and unlock button on it. I was definitely not expecting that! He also cut me another backup key at no cost. He is a very friendly, professional, knowledgable and honest locksmith. I would use him time and time again, but hopefully I won't have to : )

Thanks again Alex. Hearing the sound of my door unlock and my car start was the most beautiful noise I had hear in the two long days I was trying to get my car back."

"Steve was great! Called to get a quote after speaking with 2 other locksmiths for a lock change on the front door. His prices were much more reasonable, and he was at the house within 90 minutes to do the work. Super nice guy and would definitely hire again."

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Lock bumping is a technique locksmiths use to quickly and quietly open a pin tumbler lock, typically found in most types of deadbolts. It involves inserting a specially crafted key, or bump key, into the lock and tapping or "bumping" it with a mallet or similar tool. The force applied causes the lock's pins to jump momentarily, allowing the lock to be turned and opened. Unfortunately, thieves also use this technique to break into homes. Luckily, products like a deadbolt strap will fortify your lock.

Locksmiths recommend changing your locks once every seven years for the best security at your home. Locks can wear out over time, so you should inspect your locks regularly. A higher grade lock provides you with more cycles than those with a lower grade.

When it comes to how to get a stuck key out of a lock, the simplest way is to use some kind of lubricating substance. One option is to apply graphite powder while wiggling the key gently. As the graphite fills the lock, jiggling should loosen the key enough to allow you to pull it out.

Yes, you should always change your locks after buying a house. Do so as soon as possible after you move in. Otherwise, you won’t know who has working keys to the property, whether they’re spare keys or otherwise. If an intruder gains access to your house with a key, it may not be covered under your homeowners insurance.

It can affect security, especially if you don’t finish it properly. A Dutch door has more moving parts that can be compromised, so you’ll want to use solid hardware and make sure everything lines up and locks cleanly. If the latch is flimsy or the two halves don’t sit tight, it’s going to be easier to force open.
