SKMD Plumbing - Unlicensed Contractor

Alex is the most outstanding plumber I have had the pleasure of working with in Los Angeles, as a tenant. He is not only reasonably priced; he is highly professional and I trust his expertise and workmanship. He also gifted us a complimentary band to resolve a leak that my landlord hadn’t approved from the kindness of his heart because he said it was unprofessional to leave it that way. He was available immediately, for same day service, and snaked the leak under my sink with ease and grace, and no mess. He is extremely polite and friendly and I would recommend him to anyone in LA looking for a plumber; I will also continue to employ him for any future projects that may arise. Beyond grateful to you Alex.

did not charge for the consultation, but offered to review the whole plumbing system. found a leak that was starting to corrode the mainline, was repaired within the hour including maintenance routing.

He arrived in a timely fashion, and he was apologetic about not having covers for his shoes. He brought in his machines that show you what is in the drain. He also put the toilet back so that it does not rock. We were very pleased with his work. He made a suggestion for additional work. I would definitely call these guys first. We have not always had a good experience. This was a good one.

Alex responded quickly to my phone call and was able to come to the house in less than an hour. I had a toilet with a leaky fill valve and loose handle. He was prompt, professional and upfront about his fees. Found out there was another problem that he fixed and was willing to negotiate the fee on that repair. Plumbers are not inexpensive. His rates are equivalent to most.

The contractor is top notch. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer all my detailed questions. He was able to give an estimate for the replacement of a couple of faucets and a wash of our whole house tankless water heater on the spot. I very much valued his advice to save money, setting him apart from the other contractors whom I took bids. I highly recommend his services for plumbing work. I will be using him for several more plumbing projects.

Our shower drain was clogged. I reached out via Angie's and SKMD was the first to respond. Alex gave me an approximate time of arrival and showed up shortly after. He cleared the clogged drain which BTW was something that two previous plumbers had been unable to do. At first, I was somewhat bothered by the $150 service charge - since it is on par with what most licensed plumbers charge to unclog a shower drain. However, we did get a one (1) month service warranty and the job was done properly.

One thing I would like to be known to the masses is that brother Alex is a value added to the Professional World of Plumbing. He showed up at the time given and made sure he had all the tools needed I Will call brother Alex anytime needed in the future. Thanks again for your help, Alex

Responded on time as promised, gave me a free estimate, and performed quality work, in replacing my leaking pipes under kitchen sink and installed a new garbage disposal. It was nice that he wore shoe covers when entering my house. Good work, Alex.

My home is 90+ years old and was in need of major plumbing work. A pipe had a hole in it, and water was pooling under the house. Alex to the rescue! He provided an honest estimate, and not once, did he try to oversell. He is efficient and thorough, and always cleans up at the end of the day. I donâ t know much about plumbing, but he always takes the time to answer my questions, or explain the work heâ s doing. He also follows up after the work is completed! I have used him on big and small jobs, and have been satisfied every time. Overall, his pricing is reasonable, he is reliable and does great work.
