"Mauricio did an excellent job of clearing my very dirty brick patio, front steps, paths and driveway. He was efficient and the result is amazing. The bricks on the patio were black with moss growing on them. Now they look like new."

"Andy designed and installed a beautiful garden in my front and back yard. Many neighbors have stopped by to comment on how lovely it is. He is professional, creative, and very knowledgeable about the plants that grow well in the area. I highly recommend Andy for all your design and landscape needs."

"I had to reschedule our original appointment date. Omar was understanding and we rescheduled to another day that fit my work schedule.  Omar and his son arrived on time and ready to work.  We did a tour of all the varied work I wanted done.  We began in the garage because I wanted to direct how I wanted the garage organized.  We worked well together.  Omar made some good suggestions and listened to what I preferred as well.
In the house Omar had all the tools to check out lights in both bathrooms and toilet.  He had the equipment in his truck for master bathroom lights and toilet.  He needed to replace the light ballast in guest bath which required him going to a couple of hardware stores to find the right fixture.  While Omar worked on lights and toilet, his son and I worked on assembling the curio cabinet and mirror.
Overall it was a very good experience and I will continue to use Omar to help around my home.

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Certain fireplace repairs will require that your contractor is licensed, including anything that involves moving, installing, or repairing gas lines. In that case, your professional will need to be a certified plumber. You can use Angi’s licensing lookup tool to confirm that the company you’re hiring is properly licensed. Most states don’t have specific license requirements for other fireplace repairs, but most demand at least a general contractor’s license. It’s also a good idea to look for companies certified by the National Fireplace Institute, as those pros tend to be more qualified to carry out the repair.

Creosote logs can help to reduce new creosote build-up by about 60%, however they don’t replace regular cleaning. While creosote logs can help to prevent build-up of creosote in your chimney, they won’t remove build-up that’s already there. Creosote logs can be used as a preventative measure in conjunction with regular cleaning, but you will still need to clean your chimney about once per year.

Modern wood-burning stoves are very effective, reaching around 80% efficiency. That’s because models built after 1988 are designed to meet standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to operate more efficiently and produce less air pollution. If you have an older wood stove, it may not be as efficient.

A chimney cap typically lasts between three and 25 years. This wide range is due to several variables, including the material it's made from, the local climate, and how frequently you use your fireplace. Living in an area with severe weather can shorten its lifespan. Regular inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs as needed can help your chimney cap last as long as possible.

Yes, an outdoor fireplace should use fire bricks. Fire bricks are specially designed to withstand high levels of heat and thus won’t crack as easily as regular bricks when exposed to the intense heat inside a fireplace.
