Hector answered all of our questions and provided great options. He really went pit of his way to work within our budget. Turnaround time was quick and the installers were great…you would never know they were there except that we had a beautiful countertop when they left! The tile installer Jorge and his crew were very communicative and friendly and they worked hard to help us meet the timeline of an event we had scheduled at our house. Hector was a joy to work with. He ably guided in pick the best tile (we made him order multiple samples) and patiently humored our pickiness, even coming by several times to talk over the best options, before we’d even signed! Throughout the demo, install, and cleanup, he and his small crew was professional and considerate of our family. We even added some work mid-project, and he transparently let us know that would be extra hours, but I’m so glad we did. It looks fantastic.

He came to the house and gave a quote that was very reasonable for the job. His employee arrived on time and made sure that surfaces were covered while completing the job, and cleaned up afterwards . These guys are professional, friendly, and take pride in their work. They always ask if we have questions during the installation of the tile & the final outcome of the project is simply awesome. Cornerstone, Hector Varela and his crew were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They installed our kitchen counter tops and laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and family room. The work was done quickly and efficiently and Hector kept us informed of all changes as we went along. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly to any concerns we had. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day and caused as little interruption to our daily routines as possible. The finished projects turned out exactly as we had been expecting and been promised. His budgeted estimate was very reasonable and best of all it was spot on.

Hector is very professional and makes sure everything is perfect at the end of the job. I had tile installed and it looks beautiful. I am very pleased.

Hector and Hector did an amazing job finishing out our tile bay window in the living room and installed the crown molding baseboards to look great. We had some repairs in bathrooms and an area to fill in with some tile not done when we originally bought the house and everything they did looks great. Very professional, fast, clean and attention to details. I already have them coming out to look at another project!!!

First of all, we do not live in the Salinas area and did not know anyone with this type of experience. We relied on Home Advisor to help us out. After our initial conversation with Hector Varela, we felt very comfortable that he and his company were going to do a great job! He advised us on where to start, what we needed to do in selecting the natural stone, etc. He then prepared the contract with the specific information regarding material, time, cost, etc. Everything went like clockwork. We received photos as the job progressed and we were most pleased with the finished job. HOWEVER, we were VERY pleased when we actually saw the master bath shower. This is when we met Hector in person. Hector is very professional, knowledgeable, and important to us, personable. In addition, we decided to renovate the kitchen cabinets and counter tops. He recommended a painter and they did a great job, beyond our expectations, and the natural stone counter tops are beautiful. We love our master bath and kitchen! We highly recommend, Hector Varela, Corner Stone.

Hector had great communication and follow through. Couldn't be happier. Took a campy 1970s looking kitchen and transformed it into the design I had envisioned. Quality work, would and will highly recommend.
