After a salesman came to our door, he designed our landscaping plan — retaining wall, stairs, shed pad, boulders, and sprinklers — and quoted $24,995. I paid in full around July 8, 2025, with a contract promising completion by July 28. No one ever showed up until I contacted them. Since then, I’ve dealt with four project managers, endless delays, broken promises, and almost zero communication. One crew came but didn’t know what they were supposed to do and couldn’t reach anyone for direction. Another poured a footing wrong, according to one of their own workers. Months later, my yard is still torn apart, and HavenHub continues to ignore me despite taking full payment. I’ve had to involve a lawyer just to try to get a response. Concrete can take years to fully settle, but interior concrete floors are mostly settled after a year. Shifting and settling can occur throughout your home’s life, but most major settling happens the first few years after the concrete is poured. Resurfacing is ideal when the surface is showing more widespread wear—like if it’s pitted, rough, or has lots of cracks. Resurfacing gives your concrete a fresh, like-new appearance without needing a full replacement.

When the concrete is severely cracked, sinking, or otherwise structurally unsound, replacing it might be your best option. Replacement ensures the safety and longevity of the surface in this case.

The average cost of concrete by cubic yard is about $130 , falling in a range of $110 to $150 . If you’re looking to pour concrete over a smaller area, you may be able to pay per cubic foot of concrete, which would make the overall cost less expensive. It’s also possible to pay for a truckload of concrete, if your project calls for it.

If you're only working with a gravel pad, and there is no concrete foundation, you might be able to upgrade to a concrete slab, but you’d have to speak with a professional concrete expert to confirm and get pricing. If you have a concrete foundation or cement block walls around the area where you want to build flooring, you might be able to pour a new concrete floor over the existing one to forgo repairs. Again, speak with a concrete expert or foundation company to see if this is an option.
