"I'm in Tucson and worked with Brandon and Frank as the installers from the Tucson office and Chad, from Scottsdale, was the consultant. All personnel were respectful and professional. The young men worked in the heat of the day but were careful to respect my home. They were clean, efficient, and pleasant to work with. I love my windows and appreciate their attitude and work ethic. I would recommend them to anyone."

"Tye did an amazing job with screening in our porch. It looks great, he was affordable, and helped us when I threw him a post tension slab curve ball at the end. Our cats love it! He also did a sliding 4ft screen door instead of a standard door and it is so cool. Thanks Tye!"

"Jordan came by to look at my windows. I originally was looking at replacing just 4. We ended up doing our whole home instead. Really happy I did! The installers were efficient, clean, and professional. Highly recommended Dabella!"

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

No, it’s not safe to leave a doggy door open. It might be more convenient, especially at night when you just want to lay in bed. However, when you leave it open, it increases the chance of other critters getting in without your knowledge. Also, it leaves your pup unsupervised for hours at a time.

Most window screens in residential homes are designed to be removed from the inside, especially with double-hung, single-hung, and casement styles. That said, some setups require exterior removal. Older homes or custom installs may have exterior clips or brackets, and sunscreens are almost always mounted on the outside. Before removing your window screen, look at how it is held in place.

Window seals don’t last forever, so they’ll inevitably fail for one reason or another. One of the most common reasons is the expansion and contraction of the glass. When the glass gets warm from sunlight, it expands and adds pressure to the seal; at night, as the glass cools, it contracts. This process, day in and day out, can eventually cause the seal to fail. Other common sources of failure include the house settling over time, chemicals that damage the seal when repainting windows, and incorrect window installation.

There are a number of ways to secure windows. You can add motion detectors or window sensors to detect movement and impact or change the window locks to make them stronger. Some of the ways you can secure windows are much like how you secure a home: closing the curtains at night and setting up security cameras outside so you can monitor your property even in your absence.

No, but removing window screens will achieve a deeper clean. If you aren’t sure how to remove your screens, you can still clean them while in your window. You can follow the same cleaning steps, but you may not be able to get into corners or struggle to clean the entire screen if the window is up high.
