"#1. While contracted to remodel the 1960's Master Bathroom, the home owner accused our workman of knocking loose a p-trap which in fact had Rusted Through and had to be replaced in a different bathroom that we were not doing any construction on. We did not argue, "(did not hold a grudge against him) rather, went ahead and fixed it for free. $ 80.00 value. #2. Re-Bath shower wall surrounds use a single panel per wall system not molded. Re-Bath products do not have "molded corners" on the walls as the customer stated he saw in our store. That is an un-true statment. During the product demonstration in the home the design consultant handed a cut a way sample showing the 3 layer system. Then the owner also watched a video demonstration of the entire Re-Bath system being installed 1 wall at a time. 3. We have been installing cabinets in homes in the area for nearly 40 years and they sit directly on the concrete. Just as the old cabinet in his bathroom did not have flooring under it. The reason for this is that floors are more often changed than cabinets are. This is a standard installation practice in the industry. The floating floor system the owner had chosen specifically had instructions for installation STATING " no cabinetry on top of the floor." As per the customers statement that he paid full contract price for a floor that was specified in the contract and then choose not to have us install a credit was issued for the labor of that portion of work. Sheet rock and paint work was completed per contract. 4. The home owner did not contract with us to buy a new toilet and install it. 5. Bathroom sink was flowing at the time of final walk through & sign off from the job. We were never notified of any drain issues. 6. Just as our company was accused of breaking a rusted out P-trap in a different bathroom the customer also accused us of breaking a window in the master bedroom where a very clear impression of a bird hitting the window "from the outside"(not the inside) in the middle of a round shape crack was clearly visible and shown to the customer. 7. The home owner has a truck and decided not to haul his own large pile of garbage from the residence. Instead he threw his heavy and loose material into our trailer where we had to pay employees to secure it and dump it. 8. After several incidences of the the customer trying to tell our professional, factory trained installers, how to install our ReBath products an agreement was made to not install the flooring and finish the doors per contract. At which time credits were issued to his satisfaction. 9. It is our intention as well as Re-Bath's policy to provide all of our customers with a quality product along with the longest warranties in the industry. We always treated the home owner with respect and worked diligently to respond to all of his concerns. Please contact us directly with any future issues that may arise. We will be very happy to address them with you."
Erv Amdahl was my primary contractor and he was very professional and helped to bring my dream kitchen to life. All of the workers who came into my home were very professional and courteous; they left each day with everything cleaned and put away.
As with all remodel jobs there were a few glitches, but mostly because I changed my mind on certain things and we travel a lot so the contractor had to work around our travel schedule.
I highly recommend Sierra Remodeling for your next remodel job and I would definitely call them for my next job.
"In November of 2011, we were contacted by Ms. [member name removed]to put a window into her bedroom wall. The job was completed so much to her satisfaction that on May of 2012 we were invited back to renovate her bathroom shower. The shower area was completely redone with tile floor and subway tile walls. Again, to her complete satisfaction. On July of 2012 she again invited us back to reface her kitchen cabinets. I have been in the kitchen and bath business for about 16 years and have performed many kitchen renovations. The Showplace brand Renew system was a bit new to me, however I took the project on because of the outstanding working relationship I had built with her. The cabinet reface went well, however my inexperience with the door measuring/ ordering software did cause delays of about 60 days. At no time during the project was she without fully functional cabinets and drawers, only drawer fronts and cabinet doors. The job was completed to her satisfaction with my sincerest apologies for the delays."
"It was such a pleasure working with the [member name removed]."
