"Creating an ADU for my mother was a difficult task until we encountered this team. They handled the rigorous Tucson permitting process beautifully, taking a great weight off our shoulders. I was extremely impressed with how they handled the timeline; even when a certain tile we needed was backordered, they altered the plan to keep the plumbing and electrical work going forward. The bespoke cabinetry is beautifully crafted."

"remodeled my wall way bathroom shower. Bill is very polite gentleman, answered all my questions and concerns with honesty. His crew and project manager Jeff kept us up to date with timeline, were respectful of my home, cleaned up after themselves after each project, and always made sure I was included every step of the way. I plan on hiring Terrell developed for my next project. Would highly recommend Bill for any home remodeling projects."

"Precision Mountain Construction was great to work with. Our project was a bit unconventional and challenging but Precision Mountain did a great job in designing around our problems and provided us with solutions that kept us on track. Our project was located in a very remote area and access to materials and personnel was not easy. The project lasted two months and we are thrilled to show people where we live and what our home looks like. We'd be happy to share pictures if that would be helpful. Our friends and family think we spent a ton on construction but the reality is that the workmanship and materials make things look more expensive than they actually are. I like them and I'd recommend them."

Architects questions, answered by experts

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.

Costs vary depending on project complexity and scope. Architects generally charge a percentage of the total budget or an hourly rate for their services.

Yes, architects specialize in both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring that additions blend seamlessly with existing structures while meeting safety standards.

Federal and Colonial architecture are similar in that they both appear mostly utilitarian and symmetrical, but Federal architecture is a bit more ornate. Federal design often includes decorative palladium windows, window lintels, and, sometimes, columns surrounding a more decorative portico. Inside, Federal architecture is set apart by its centrally-located oval room. Additionally, Federal homes tend to have brick facades, whereas Colonial homes more often have wood siding.

Drawing your own floor plans is acceptable for many kinds of projects, including interior design and room layout. You can use floor plan software to create the plans but keep in mind that the floor plan will only be as accurate as the measurements you take and enter into the software.
