"All of the work was done as described and in a timely manner. Alvaro (president) explained the process and answered any questions we had. The crew was punctual, courteous and respectful of the property. Windows, doors and vigas were taped off, drop cloths were used where material would splatter. After the completion of the project everything was cleaned up and put back in place. The workmanship is outstanding and the house looks brand new."

"We hired Painting Pros to paint the exterior of our home. We had two colors which meant careful masking and prep, and they even completed some tightening up of trim, painted doors as agreed and more. They did an excellent job - I would highly recommend getting in touch with Carlos and his team for your painting work"

"They were quick, clean and friendly. It only took them one day to do my kitchen and dining room, bathroom, living room and two bedrooms. My only complaints are that I thought they would fill the nail holes or spackle a couple dents behind doors but they didn't. They also cracked an electrical cover in the living room and didn't remove at least two electrical covers in the kitchen before painting. They were almost $150 cheaper than the next lowest bid I had so I'd recommend them to others, with some reservations."

"They did an amazing Job. I would definitely recommend them to others. They did quality work at an extremely reasonable price. The house looks completely different than before, they have it the makeover that I wanted. I appreciate their excellent work and amazing customer service. Amazing family business. Both Father and Son are so knowledgeable in painting. I had a big project for them, that dealt with old paint and some bad fascia and some exterior damage that they repaired for me as well. The finished project was better than I could ve expected and at a reasonable price! I m very thankful they reached out to me and we were paired. I wish I could put some before and after pictures but I m not able to. Thank you both again for an awesome job! Oh and the cherry on top, they also repainted my wrought iron around the house... it looks better than when it had first been installed. All around they hit it out of the park."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Apply a wood stain or sealant to properly maintain a wood deck railing and keep it looking new. Sealants protect wood from moisture and weathering. Regularly inspect the railing for loose screws, damaged balusters, and other signs of wear to make timely repairs. Routinely clean the railing using mild soap, water, and a soft bristle brush.

Staining a deck with a rag is typically a better option than using a brush, as it helps the stain penetrate deeper into the wood. However, both brushes and rags are best reserved for detailed work because using these tools on an entire deck can require tediously crawling around on your hands and knees. A pad applicator, sprayer, or roller are preferred alternatives to applying stain over the majority of a deck. Use a rag for railings and other detailed work, and let the wood soak up as much of the stain as possible before wiping away drips or pools.

It’s often best to spray on deck sealer. Sprayers can apply sealant more quickly and evenly than rolling while still enabling you to reach tight spaces. When using a sprayer, always use a low-pressure setting at a close distance to ensure an even application. Avoid using sprayers on windy days.

The best way to protect a deck is to prevent damage from UV light, water, mold, mildew, insects, and abrasive cleaning methods. Sweep regularly to prevent debris that hides bugs and traps moisture that can result in mold or mildew growth. Use a deck cleaner once a year to remove algae, mold, and mildew. Avoid using pressure washers on high, as they can damage the wood. Applying a deck sealant can protect the wood from UV and water damage, and adding shade can also reduce sunlight damage.

You can apply stain over peeling stain, but it’s not a good idea. Your old stain will get in the way of your new stain bonding to the wood, so you’re likely going to see the same issue again shortly after application. Your best option is to sand off the old stain and clean the surface thoroughly before applying new stain.
