"Without a hitch. Nester arrived each day as scheduled. Polite, clean well mannered fellow. Very likable. All work performed on schedule. Great paint job. Tight lines, no mess. Staining of the wood doors came out outstanding. Another professional job and again, no mess. Price was very reasonable. Would hire again. Happy about the entire project."

"We called Blue Sky NM Stucco and I talked with Alvaro Esparza, the owner, about getting a quote. He came out to estimate the job within a couple of days and gave us a fair and reasonable estimate for the work. In doing so, he thoroughly explained each step of what needed to be done and told us exactly how they would make the repairs in each area of the house. He also was very careful about specifying how closely they could color match the new stucco to the existing stucco color. We accepted the quote and Alvaro had his crew start within a few days. We had a few days of snowy and cold weather which delayed the completion slightly but as soon as the weather would allow, the crew showed up promptly to complete the work. At each step in the process, the work was done in a most careful and professional manner. We have composite decking material all around the outside of our home and I was concerned about having stucco splashed and spilled on the deck material. Alvaro and his crew made sure to cover and tape up every area around the house to protect it from any spills or splashes. We were quite impressed with both the quality of the work as well as the careful way in which it was carried out from beginning to end. After the work was completed, Alvaro came out and inspected the work personally to make sure we were satisfied with the work and that everything was completed. We are completely happy with the results and especially with the care and craftsmanship that everyone at Blue Sky provided.
Blue Sky Stucco is exactly the kind of contractor that we joined Angie's List to find. They are first rate professionals and will make sure every detail is finished to your satisfaction. We definitely found the right company to do our stucco work and would have them back again to do any other work we may need in the future. "

"First we had the patios stained. Aaron arrived promptly with his crew. The wood looked beautiful. I plan to add pictures soon. The wood was completely coated and we feel confident it will last for several years. Once the patios were completed the house was painted. We also have a stucco storage building separate from our home. We asked Arron to pick up two sample colors. He did not want to pick the color for us but he did advise which color he thought would look best with the trim color we chose. We appreciated his advise because the job came out beautiful. We noticed a spot that we thought needed attention. He returned the next day and even though the issue was not included in the cost he took action with no charge. Aaron was professional and responsive.
You don't need to seal your deck after painting it because most exterior paints are waterproof and weather-resistant. While stealing is not necessary, it can add an additional layer of protection.
Yes, it's a good idea to sand the wall with fine-grit sandpaper after spackling, especially if you plan on painting. You can do this by hand or using a sander, but the idea is to ensure the spackle is flush with the wall. Sanding will give your wall a smooth, uniform finish and help your paint and wallpaper stay put.
Exterior paints contain more volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, making them dangerous when used indoors. Without the free ventilation of the great outdoors, it can take longer for the fumes to dissipate than interior paint. While you may notice the smell lessening more quickly, you should be wary of paint fumes inside for 48 to 72 hours after it dries.
Many decking oils can help slow down algae growth, but they don't completely stop it. These oils work by sealing the wood, which reduces moisture and, therefore, algae growth. Some decking oils also help protect against UV damage, but they need to be reapplied according to the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure the decking stays protected.
100% acrylic latex lasts the longest for most siding. Premium 100% acrylic products carry lifetime warranties against peeling, blistering, and fading. Match the grade to your surface and climate for the best lifespan.
