"Rich was prompt and highly communicative in advance of the first appointment to make sure I understood my options to replace my water softener. Once there, he did an extremely professional job an cleaned up perfectly after the job. During the water softener install, I mentioned that I had a leaky spigot valve in the backyard. Rich cut off the old one and welded on a new one that is working great. He charged me a minimal fee for the addon work since he was already on site. Here's the kicker and why I'd highly recommend Rich to anyone. During the install he talked about how he would come back without issue if there were any questions or issues. Well a couple weeks later, there turned out to be an issue. When the unit backwashed it dumped water onto my garage floor. This problem persisted. The second time it happened, I called Rich who we very willing to come back. It turns out my drainline, that had been put in by a previous provider had a kink which was causing it intermittently clog, causing the overflow of water in the garage. Rich found the issue and ran a brand new drain line through the attic. He was at my house for 3 hours to identify and resolve the problem. At the end he offered to not charge me, even though the drain line problem wasn't his fault. I insisted on paying him so he gave me a LARGE discount. I now consider Rich my go-to plumber. He'll get all my business moving forward."

"When our former circulation pump refused to function I called Reddi Services and requested Marco, as he had done plumbing work for us previously and we were always more than satisfied. Marco arrived here on time, fixed the problem, and was gone in less than one hour. He is a very good ambassador for Reddi Services, as he is prompt, has all the tools he needs, finishes promptly, and has a very nice personality! We will use him again."

"The two techs, Jeff and Victor, did an excellent job installing two toilets and cleaning up after installation. Both were very personable and polite answering all questions. They even wore booties. Installation included valves and supply lines. They also took away the old toilets as well as the debris associated with the removal of the old and installation of the new. All in all, a great job and I would highly recommend Bumble Bee Plumbing."

"Everything went super well. Al and 3 of his assistants uninstalled a failed solar water heater and installed a new water heater. He and his assistants removed the old, outdated solar panel from the roof and repaired all holes in the wall left from the old solar water heater. He upgraded the new one at no charge and charged even less than the estimate when he got it cheaper. Next he installed a brand new, professional quality garbage disposal to replace one poorly installed from a different company that had failed after only a couple years. He and his assistants were very friendly, very comfortable to have in the home with us and our 3 dogs, and they were very proficient and detailed in the service. He's the best plumber I have come across in the 30 years we have owned the home. We will only use him for our plumbing needs in the future.

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

First, you can try unplugging the two sump pump cords, one for the motor and one for the float switch, then plugging them back in to reset the sump pump. You can also reset the sump pump by turning it off and back on at the breaker. Many sump pumps have a reset button, which you can press and hold for a few seconds to reset the device.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Yes, it’s normal (and beneficial) to have a small amount of water in the bottom of your sump pit. It shows that your system is collecting groundwater, rain, and excess water from around your property—just like it’s supposed to. However, if the sump pit is always full, you might have a leak or a faulty sump pump.

To test for toilet leaks, use water coloring in the water tank and see if the water slips into the bowl from the tank. This test will indicate if there’s a problem with the flapper or refill tube. You can also put water coloring in the bowl of the toilet to see if there is a leak there. If there is, you should see the colored water on the outside of the toilet bowl or on the floor.

The life span of a water pump ranges from five to 15 years on average. Regular maintenance can extend its life. If you notice significant drops in performance, strange noises, or frequent malfunctions, consider a water pump or well pump replacement. Always get in touch with a professional if you're concerned about yCan I install a water pump myself?our pump's condition.
