"My pool was a disaster after sitting nearly 2 years. Larry and his team brought it back to life. I will. Continue to go to them. They are honest and did more work to put pool in better condition than when I first moved here, & didn't charge me more than the original estimate. I give them ten(10) stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thanks for asking."

"I have worked with Ken for several years now. He has so much experience and brings this to his work for me. Ken does weekly maintenance and repairs on our two hot tubs. He bails me out on occasion and shows up when we have an emergency. I HIGHLY recommend Ken."

"Needed some service on a pool, called up a few places and Alex over at Orca Pool care was amazing from the first chat. Very nice/friendly and professional. Got services started and I inquired about a quote to clean my tile as the calcium was building up. Gave me a VERY good price. I will see there are Cheaper options out there but better work and quality is definitely worth a few extra bucks. Tile came out amazing by the time they were done with it. Would recommend anyone with a pool to get them a call if they ever needed service or any kind of repairs!"

"CHW was very responsive to my claim (swimming pool circulation pump failed). However, CHW was unable to find a local service provider. After 10 days, my pool was experiencing an algae bloom and I needed to do something quickly. I found a service provider who fixed the pump (bad capacitor) for $50...just a few dollars more than the $45 that would have been out of pocket for a CHW agent to fix the pump."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.
